Is there any documentation of this alteration?

Presumably many hundreds of thousands of actual newspapers. Melanie Morgan on KSFO (SF) said she was in LA over the weekend and the later editions had a picture of the mass protests, the same picture as the morning editions except that in the late editions all the Mexican flags were erased so that all you saw were American flags.

I can't find anything on the web or on the KSFO site yet; I'll send email to her and ask if she has both pictures and could put them on the web site.

Thanks! I'm sure that somewhere out there, there is a real investigative journalist that's just dying to cover a story like this.

The Daily News littered on our driveway with their newspaper last Sunday. I was struck that the DN picture looked like it had many American and very few Mexican flags. This was different from the scene I saw on TV, although who knows if they simply selected a more flattering picture or if the picture were altered.

(We are not a subscriber, hence the word "litter" and unfortunately I discarded the paper without paying attention to the source of the picture.)
