To: the invisib1e hand
I see we're talking the wealthy, empowered South Africa. Hedonism seems to be the pet vanity of the (relatively) well-to-do.

1. I don't know how you can tell that these people are wealthy. Neither the pictures nor the article suggest that they are rich.
2. This kind of thing goes on in every social class and is not at all restricted to the rich.

I guess it would require too careful a reading of my post to see that I said nothing about being "rich." The term I used was "relatively well-to-do," and I even italicised the word "relatively" for emphasis. In this case, we're talking relative to the "natives" I referred to, and well-to-do relative to them wouldn't mean "rich."

Do you maintain, though, that "every social class" has lesbianism and lesbians raising children as "parents?"

Perhaps it is so in a relatively well off society. I have a hunch, however, that sexual (and other) deviancy tends to increase in proportion to a society's prosperity. Sort of along the lines of the cliche' "idle hands are the devil's workshop."
