The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has released a second television ad on behalf of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger that is scheduled to run on cable and broadcast outlets statewide. This 30-second spot explicitly champions the performance of the governor since he gained office in the 2003 recall election. Below is the text of the ad and an analysis by Andy Furillo of The Bee Capitol Bureau.
NARRATOR: Remember? California was $22 billion in the red, the car tax tripled, jobs and businesses were leaving, a state literally in the dark. Arnold Schwarzenegger delivered. Repealing the car tax hike, cutting the deficit, refusing to raise taxes, helping create 400,000 new jobs, and expanding trade. There's hard work ahead. But with his heart in the right place, Schwarzenegger is helping California compete.

Turning California Around
A US Chamber of Commerce Advocay Program
Special Message From Thomas J. Donohue,
President and CEO, U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Thank you for visiting our Turning California Around Web site.
What's it all about?
In recent years, U.S. Chamber members across the country as well as in-state businesses have been expressing concerns about California's economy and policy direction. They have watched a state fall deeper and deeper into debt and have seen its government enact burdensome mandates on businesses, driving companies and jobs away. For the past three years, many of these destructive approaches have been reversed, though much work remains to be done.
California is the world's eighth largest economy and home to one in every eight American consumers. Our nation cannot sustain its prosperity or restore its competitiveness without a strong, job-producing California economy.
California is also a trendsetter. Good, bad or otherwise, what happens in California often spreads eastward to the rest of America.
For all these reasons, the U.S. Chamber has decided to get involved. We have initiated an issue advocacy program using television, the Internet and e-mails to help educate Californians about policies and approaches that will make their state, and thus our nation, more prosperous and competitive.
The Golden State has come a long way since the days of record deficits, power blackouts and the enactment of job-killing bills. Since then, workers' compensation has been reformed, trade has been expanded, and Governor Schwarzenegger has held the line on taxes. Californians are reaping the benefits with the creation of 400,000 new jobs and stronger economic growth, which now permit the state to make significant new investments in schools and transportation.
You can help ensure that California continues to improve by sharing the information here with your friends, co-workers and employees
by signing up to receive our free informational e-mails (to which you may unsubscribe at any time)
and by joining the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, so that we can continue to advance important projects like this one. With your involvement and support, we can fight more effectively for your business, for free enterprise, and for the economic future of all Americans.
Thank you.

Yep, they are. And from the report I posted, they are ads that have a hard time distinguishing between truth and propaganda.
See the link I posted where I state I think the filing was in error.
I think it is supposed to be "Jess Jackson", not Jesse.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie. Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")

"I think it is supposed to be "Jess Jackson", not Jesse."

Yes, that's what happens when someone is so anxious to bash Arnold, that they jump at anything, without using a modicum of common sense, which is, as I said, that there is no way Jesse Jackson would support Arnold. And you even claimed it was "FACT". I bet he is supporting Angelides.
I wonder if your other "FACTS" presented have the same amount of truth behind them.
Spare me the histrionics, FO. With all the BS you post, it is disingenuous.
I corrected it, something the Sacramento Bee, nor any other newspaper has done.
Get over it.
And you being such a bright person, it still never occurs to you that there may be other people in the US named Jesse Jackson -- that is not exactly a unique name.
Just a quick search got me 9 of them in CA, at ahywho.com
The bottom line is still as I said, you are listing things as "FACTS", which are anything but facts, and a cursory glance is enough for most people to realize it.
Well, so much for your "FACTS".
Given all the other lefties that have contributed millions to Arnold (Burkle, Daly, et al),
as well as all of his liberal appointees, nothing would surprise me anymore.
Looks like everyone's on board.
Except, of course, for conservatives and real Republicans.
Arnold cultists would have no problem with such "reasoning".
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah... another blinding blizzard of brouhaha and baloney!!! (and everybody knows it, too!)
I wish I could reduce my debt by borrowing.
[still scratching head as to how that can happen, lol]
I'm still having a problem with the math, too.
There was $15 Billion in debt when Gray Davis left; now we have $25 Billion.
Yet debt has reduced?
Does not compute.
Perhaps some of the new greater debt went towards reducing the older smaller debt. Like paying off part of a MasterCard debt using a Visa card balance transfer.
And taking out a home equity loan at the same time! The new "fiscal conservatism"?
This would never have been corrected if you had not pointed out the truth.
Thank you.
Borrowing and wild pork barrel spending, then taxing to pay back the bonded indebtedness.
Arnold's "R" stands for Rat.
Your insinuations are slanderous and insulting.
Is this the normal protocol now... lurking around and insulting people on threads and not pinging them?
Check out the timing of my posts.
I corrected the ERROR OF THE SAC BEE and THE STATE WEBSITE earlier over an hour BEFORE Fair Opinion's post.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1603030/posts?page=5#5
It was NOT even MY mistake (and I am only assuming it IS a mistake).
I stand by my post.
You stand by your post, saying it wouldn't be corrected, even though it already had?
Have you NO honor?
