MEMPHIS, Tenn. The wife of a pastor found shot dead in his house has confessed to his murder, Tennessee police said Friday.

"If" he was abusing the children in some way, wouldn't there be physical evidence of it?
The prediction here is that he was having an affair, thus the shot in the back as he walked away from her.
He didn't want to go to the swingers club with her. Sent her over the edge.

First thing, everybody blames him! Child molester, wife beater, cheater before anybody knows anything.
Maybe SHE was a cheater and was going to Alabama to meet her mandingo boyfriend to run off to Liberia?
Or she played the internet slots a little too late one night and couldn't tell him they were 100 G's in hock.
Maybe she was too good a friend with Chivas?
Its always the guy, pisses me off!
Another reason for priests not to marry.....
Spare me your flames....
Stick to your day job,my friend.Your career prospects as a comic are pretty bleak.
Admitting you shot somebody and confessing to murder are two whole different ball games.
People can come up with a lot of alleged reasons somebody needed shooting.
First thought I had as well. If she believed he was abusing one or more of the daughters, it could have pushed her over the edge.
And it's entirely possible that one or more of those is true -- we don't know. It doesn't excuse her killing him, but it could explain it.
I do believe she'll go with the "post partum psychosis" defense.
Shot in the back.
She'll have to claim abuse: of her and/or their little girls.
Both claims would have to be medically proven.
Especially right now -- they're in the custody of the state of Alabama, while their father is dead, and their mother's been taken off to jail for killing him.... Poor kids. They're going through hell right now.
Boy you're really asking for it. Just wait till the FR chapter of the Oprah Nation gets wind of what you said.
Yes,that would seem likely.Physical abuse would probably be noticed by a teacher or a physician who would be required to report it to state authorities.Sexual abuse might not be as easy to detect except, perhaps,by a physician.
In regards to abuse of the wife, the OJ case would be the textbook case regarding evidence. There were police reports,a conviction, photos, etc.
It's a long stretch from "not guilty" to "innocent" sometimes. OJ, Robert Blake, Whacko-Jacko.....need I go any further???
Couldn't agree more. priests are much better off with their little boys than -shudder- a wife!
Could be.Such a defense might work in Massachusetts or California but I think it would be less successful in a state like Tennessee.
And? If he was a child sodomizer and a wife beater, he deserved to die.
