Slain Minister's Wife to Be Charged With Murder Friday, March 24, 2006 MEMPHIS, Tenn. The wife of a Tennessee pastor found shot dead in his house Wednesday will face first-degree murder charges, authorities announced Friday.
Mary Winklerwas found Thursday night with the couple's three daughters in Orange Beach, Ala., about 400 miles south of their home in Selmer.
Investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said she was interviewed during the night and the charges were being prepared.
"We've interviewed her and she was cooperative," said Jennifer Johnson of the TBI, adding that once a warrant with the charges was drawn up, extradition proceedings would begin to have her returned to Tennessee.
Matthew Winkler was found shot to death in the bedroom of his parsonage Wednesday by church members who began searching for him after he failed to show up at an evening event at Selmer's Church of Christ.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry, but Winkler's wife and children Breanna, 1; Mary Alice, 6; and Patricia, 8 were gone.

The judge, jury and executioner is the Pastor's own wife?!
He must have really deserved it! (Puke)
I thought I make it extremely clear that her behavior was consistent with the congregations that I did attend.
I don't have to add 2+2 every single time to know that it's 4 when I see it.
The churches I have attended have rolled or carried in whatever musical instruments were desired. The folks I know who went to other buildings to get married usually did it because they thought their wedding pictures would look better. lol
So your husband isn't really a spectre... (yet)?
Those were my thoughts exactly.
Well, that's what I was doing. Just observing that this husband-killer's behavior is consistent with what I have observed at the congregations I have attended.
Your writings are of your judgemental attitude while I am just stating an observance.
Hellooo-ooo
You are basically "trolling" and plenty of people have taken your bait. Your bad experiences are not enough for blanket statements.
Read up well on Andrea and her husband.
Even men are quick to point out that he was a sorry excuse for a father and knew just how dangerous his wife was before the last two children were born.
As for this man and woman.
I don't have a clue what happened.
Yet.
What environment? You mean the CoC environment?
Ah -- so "husband-killing" is common and observable among the women at the congregations you have attended, then?
You just walked off the dock, Dan.
I'm not trolling and they weren't blanket statements.
I have very clearly said several times that the husband-killer's behavior is consistent with what I have observed at the CoCs that I have attended.
Most of these responses are quite short on thought and long on emotion. People are responding according to what *they* would have meant had *they* said it rather than anything that I actually said.
Haha...good one.
The only thing you know of her behavior is that she confessed to killing her husband. That would mean you have observed many women say they have killed their husbands. Is that what you are saying? Otherwise, you are making assumptions that are baseless.
I wouldn't know. I don't presume to have an insight into her mindset like you do. I think it's very likely that she's not right in the head.
You seem very judgmental.
Noooo.
It was the 'justify their own actions even when they went against the Scriptures' behavior that I observed and that was consistent with husband-killer's behavior.
I made that clear many times as well.
There is no evidence she has sought to justify her actions.
I haven't heard her justify anything. Are you a cop in LA? That would be "lower Alabama".
Hey guys, let up on old Dan. He's got enough troubles carrying that big chip on his shoulder. The guy needs compassion, not reason.
Nooooo.
I'm saying that when push came to shove she put a bullet in her husband's back rather than follow the teachings of Scripture.
The 'confession' part is consistent with that whole 'stand up in front of everyone and repent and everything is forgiven' thing that I talked about earlier.
Before you get zotted as a troll, troublemaker, and a liar, I thought I would call your attention back to post # 230.
I suggest you leave things alone for now. You have insulted enough people.
