Wright believes at least one of the would-be regulators is animated by revenge. "John McCain has real issues with the grassroots," he explained. "This spans back to 2000 and I think he still holds a grudge against grass-roots America. "I've heard rumors saying Senators are for this because they say they're tired of hearing from these grass-roots groups," he said.
Our Senators are tired from hearing from people. Great.

I think McCain is going to hear from a few of us very, very soon. Ironic, isn't it?
As a member of the grassroots, I hold a real grudge against John McCain for the crap he pulled in 2000! He was so bad that my Senator Inhofe (R-OK) took off the gloves early in the primary and came out for George Bush and against John McCain. That spoke volumes.
