I'd tell you what I think about MeCain and this nonsense, but then you would have to ban me. Suffice to say, I hear you. Angry phone calls to follow...

No non government approved electioneering messages may be transmitted over the internet for the 30 days immediately preceding a primary election. Ping to research

Had a good chuckle reading the new FR poll, not that it's slanted or anything.
lol
My vote would be the same with just a simple poll item: 'McCain for President - no, never, nada, nowayJose, absolutely not'

850+ posts that I haven't the time to read. This is horrendous and it's going to sink McVain for any presidential run...perhaps his own senatorial run next time he's up.
I assume this also affects the Kos and DU as well...????

Jim, start a special pledge drive to combat this nonsense. Let's be the test case for the SCOTUS on this illegal unconstitutional prohibition of free speech. I'm in for $100, and I would challenge everyone to dig deep on this ridiculous McCain garbage. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm ready for a fight, and I'm not going to take it anymore!
To: Jim Robinson
If Free Republic shuts down for 30 days, it won't be because of John McCain, nor will it be because of any federal action.

My prediction if these regulations come to pass: a mass exodus of bloggers to offshore servers and websites.
Now there's some irony to consider. Americans outsourcing their political free speech. I wonder how long it will be before we're pinging each other on FreeRepublic.CN ?

The idiot is popping up all over Iowa stumping for candidates. I like Lamberti but I sent them an e-mail stating why I won't be coming to the fundraiser.
Another fellow I like told me McCain is coming for him. I told him what I thought.
I would like to have facts behind this thread. I can't get caught up on over 800 posts. It's going too fast.

The has-been lame-stream media shows which side they are on, so I'd refer to them as Al Queda Media (AQM) or the short version, "antequated media".
AP = Al Queda Press
API = Al Queda Press International

a mass exodus of bloggers to offshore servers and websites. Perhaps followed by further proposed legislation to block such sites.

Can't we just shut John McCain down for 30 days prior to the election? I mean, fair's fair.

If a townhall, citizen discussion forum can be shut down for 30 days before an election, and should this bill not be shot down by SCOTUS, then that is the final death knell for our republic.
This MUST be shot down in flames.
