This is probably the first time for me to disagree with you.
McCain votes conservative most of the time.
Mccain won't sell the USA down the river like the Clintons.
McCain does know about the military and does respect the men and women serving (unlike the Clintons).
For the most part, when the chips are down, McCain is with us.
McCain Feingold was bad legislation, but if that is the worst thing a politician does, it is not that bad.
Hillary care was really bad.
I will not support McCain in the primaries, but if he wins the nomination, I will support him in the general.
We seem to be against the grain here but those are my thoughts too. I won't vote for the dem or third party candidate.
"McCain Feingold was bad legislation, but if that is the worst thing a politician does, it is not that bad. "
McCain-Feingold trampled upon the constitution. It was blatant, and its unconstitutional. The worst a president can do is not uphold the constitution. He's not worthy to be dog catcher. We need term limits, or at least repeal the 17th amendment. Come on, kennedy a senator for over 40 years wasn't what the founders intended.
Just because he often votes with many of his fellow Senate Republicans does not make him a conservative. He's anti-gun (check out his GOA rating, pro-tax, pro-affirmative action, pro-amnesty for illegal aliens, and is postively Kerryesque with his flip-flopping on abortion.
Truly your statements reflect the herd mentality, kind of a Rush-bot type mentality cant think for yourself and omit
realities which are counter to your assertions.
McCain is as power-drunk as Wuss Feincrapold you better
re-read his legislation before you speak with confidence.
So, you don't believe in the Constitution of the United States of America.
You have options. You could live in the Middle East where they don't believe in free speech there either.
I won't. I wouldn't vote for McCain even if they held a Hillary Clinton to my head and threatened to pull the trigger.
McCain does know about the military and does respect the men and women serving (unlike the Clintons).
Don't kid yourself. He's a politician first, a veteran after that.
He may vote 'with us' most of the time, but when he doesn't he does more damage that most others.
I won't vote for Hillary, but if it's a matchup between her and McCain, neither will get my vote.
McCain-Finegold was a major assault on the First Amendment rights of all Americans, and you say "...it is not that bad"
Incredible...
McCain votes conservative on the small stuff, liberal on the big stuff (Immigration, Free Speech, etc.)
Mccain won't sell the USA down the river like the Clintons.
He has shown that he will (Immigration, Free Speech). In the spirit of bipartisanship, and if there is enough applause from the NYTimes, McCain would sign on to just about any of Teddy Kennedies schemes. Now that Teddy is gone, it'll be interesting to see to which new liberal lion McCain will try to attach his bipartisan efforts.
McCain does know about the military and does respect the men and women serving (unlike the Clintons).
There are POWs who would strongly disagree with that. He does make a show of supporting the military, but some claim he sold out the VietNam POWs.
For the most part, when the chips are down, McCain is with us.
I think the reverse is true. When the chips are down, when our liberties are on the line, McCain goes wobbly, as evidence by his undercutting the effort to get George Bushes judges appointed.
McCain Feingold was bad legislation, but if that is the worst thing a politician does, it is not that bad.
Hillary care was really bad.
Subverting the constitutional right to free speech seems really bad to me. It makes it much harder to fight things such as Hillary care.
The worst enemies you can have are those in a position to stab you in the back. I think that's a fair description of Senator John McCain, Republican from Arizona.
