Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

Scary isn't it, especially when you see polls where he's leading for the Presidential nomination.

Let it not be forgotten that it was George W. Bush who signed that unconstitutional atrocity known as McCain-Feingold into law. He is complicit in this.

One night of payback in November 1992 got us 8 years of Clinton and the chance of die-hard conservative Dan Quayle to succeed President George Bush in '97 down the drain. And worse. If Clinton had been run-around in '92 (as he would've been) would we now be worrying about Hillary Clinton? Would anyone remember her after 14 years? Failed past presidential candidates' wives do not run successfully for President. People ought to remember what voting third party can do. Was it worth it?

I've never posted my opinions, hoping the conservative grassroots movement would take over the GOP, like the kooks on the left took over the democratic party. If this continues, the GOP bending over and taking it from behind, I'm throwing in the towel.

Ditto.

I will repeat to people that still don't get it it yet. If McCain dropped the "R" from his name would he STILL be better than the Democrats? Really? Stripped of the pretense of being "one of us"?

Be honest with yourselves.

The man is a control freak. Arrogant. Ill tempered with a fuse loose. He supports judges like Sandra Day O'Connor. He renders it difficult to put judges in place that will not honor the first amendment. He strives to protect our enemies from revealing information that can save American lives, by dictating they not be harmed. They can murder US, but we can't so much as cut a lock of hair. He believes in taxing the people beyond their means and ripping off those that work hard to obtain their earnings. He takes pleasure in ripping our SOD in a time of war just because Rumsfield doesn't bow down to him. He flirted with becoming another's traitor's running mate in '04!

Wake the hell up.

He IS the enemy, and everyone on this board would admit that if tomorrow he joined the Dem party in title. I understand the deep hatred and distrust of Dems. What I don't get is why there is a blind spot that a minority enbrace where a "Republican" is supposedly better. If that "Republican" is McCain, it damn well isn't so. If the choice is McCain and any Dem? I'm doing a write in vote. If others want to trust him with your vote, I advice you watch your back for the coming knife. The man is a coward. He'll never strike frontal.

I think you misread his response...Cobra was referring to the fact McCain has subverted the Constitution with his legislation and doesn't support him.

Why do they call this guy a war hero?

His actions as a POW were most heroic and for this I have great respect. His actions as a Senator and his efforts to suppress the Freedom of Speech is the precise reason for Jim Robs verbal tirade against McCain. Without FREE SPEECH, we will lose our FREEDOM. Jim Rob is right!

McCain and Bush are together on CFR, US torture policy and immigration policy. Both agree on keeping US borders open and illegal aliens free to enter at will.

Tell me, what can you do without the government telling you what you can or can't do? (laws or regulations or ordinances) Name one thing. Just one.

This is part of the issue of lobbying reform.

One Senator stood on the floor of the Senate and claimed that the Senators were the victims of lobbyists.

They are now aiming at forums such as FREE Republic. Since they are political, they should be restricted of regulated.

I have more information at thotline.com
