The only tattoo I'd ever seriously consider getting would be right on my forehead, and say : STFU That or, THIS SPACE RESERVED FOR YOUR LIPS on my rear.
To: MRMEAN
Tattoos are a fad right now. More popular than in recent decades. I think there's nothing wrong with getting kids used to that.

Investing in a chain of tattoo-removal clinics right about now would be a way to become filthy rich in about 10-15 years.

So she has one, and it's visible. Fine. But I don't need my four-year-old getting a step-by-step lesson in tattoo "art."

I've got a full-body tattoo.
It was done with invisible ink.
I'm thinking about having it removed.

''I asked a few parents about how they'd feel about a teacher with tattoos on her arm, and they were fine with it," the 37-year-old Brookline resident says. Yeah, right. I'm sure some stressed out mother is going to take on a teacher who's with her kid alone for 9 hours a day...

I had a girlfriend once who wanted a tatoo and asked me if I thought it would be sexy.
I said "Yeah, sorta like a zit!"
She didn't get the tatoo.

This teacher's tattoo has exactly *what* to do with Education?
This teacher obviously has far too much time on her hands.

This is obviously anti-semitic. No Jewish burials for her pupils. ':^0
Of course, I'm not serious, but I'm not Jewish.

Wow. My jaw just dropped. This is SO not appropriate as a lesson plan for four-year-olds! There is a huge difference between a teacher simply having a tattoo, and having a whole lesson plan structured around exactly how one acquires a tattoo. My kid would be OUT of that class stat.

Not really as interesting as the teacher seems to think it is...also, the kids are too young to even understand it from an anthropological angle, Maori, Samoans, etc.

Tattoos are called "Trash Marks." Tattoos are a sign of the loser, of the lower classes, of people so desperate for attention and individuality that they are willing to have a sign painted on their bodies.
Every ex-con has at least one tattoo. In later life when maturity comes people regret having their body marked with an ugly stamp. Of course, maturity never comes to some people, and they become tattoo "artists."

I got two over the last several years.
I'm 53 and they stay hidden under a t-shirt and are very work friendly.
One was a personal response to 9/11, the other a RKBA statement.
Was I showing off, trying to draw attention to myself? Probably. Any regrets? nope.
