Perhaps I should alert the Moderators and find out if "Someday lawyers coming out of lawschool will actually give a care about the law, it sure seems you do not!" qualifies as a personal attack or not?
Go for it bro. I would like to see their answer, so by all means go ahead and hit that abuse button.
Your answer here says that economics trumps law. If you cannot see that very simple fact then I guess you didn't learn what a supposed law school was teaching, or maybe the school you went to needs a bit of an update.
I do not dispute that many illegals seek a better life. I will offer you this tidbit though. I as an american seek a better life also, along with every American that lives here. It is not my, nor my country's, responsibility to provide for every person in every other nation that sees we have it better here than they do in their own countries.
Did they teach you in law school that one form of bad behavior absolves any other form of bad behavior? Suree sems like that is the point you bring to the table.

The whole argument of racism is NOT a "total scam" as you put it.I don't know where you grew up but it was all around me growing up in California in the Fifties and Sixties.
Thats not to say that the NAACP,LULAC and frauds like Jackson are the answer!I agree with you that they are the shallowest of politcal opportunists and charlatans out there.
But to say racism does not exist on the part of Caucasians?Totally naive on your part.
To: clawrence3
No. You were the one trying to paint them as "anti-immigrant". Your own post proved they weren't. A moratorium on immigration is not anti-immigrant sentiment.
Nor does it have much to do with your original contention that FR harbors significant anti-legal immigrant sentiments.
Which has even less to do with the thread topic of ILLEGAL immigration.

I don't bother with the Admins, since I know I level personal attacks anyways. As for law and economics, perhaps it is hard for the layman to say which one drives which at times. As for all the other bad behaviors (at least I admit illegal immigration is a "bad" behavior ; ) it's called priorities - our federal deficit should not be so large, according to SOME conservatives . . .
To: Dead Corpse
Perhaps you should re-read my original contention then.

I like your use of the word "knew". Think is what you really mean. When a person looks to the healthcare bills and the public advance of previously eradicated diseases, combined with the cash that is sent outside this nation, it is easy to see that stopping the illegal immigration and their employment will drastically help out our economy.
More money staying here cycling in OUR economy instead of other nations economies will create more tax revenues that can be added to the taxes being paid by legal workers. This surplus could very well lead us to another round of tax cuts that would stimulate our economy the ways that every tax cutting endeavor does.
You make attempt to portray one side of this debate and pose that it ends there. Guess what.....stopping illegal immigration, and employment of those folks, has far more benefits than drawbacks.
To: clawrence3
That should read: "I don't level personal attacks" because I don't. Really have to slow down typing ; )
To: BlueStateDepression
No, I meant "KNEW" - it's called a hypothetical question - what's your answer?
To: clawrence3
"I don't bother with the Admins"
Then why did you bring it up????
Seems you got called on a bluff or something along those lines.
First you are against deportation, then you are for it, first you do not partake in personal attacks, then you do partake in them. I suppose you would vote for it before you vote against it too eh?
Is keeping American cash dollars here in this country, in order that they may cycle within our own economy, a priority in your eyes?

I don't drink apple juice; I drink grape juice and it's made in the USA with US and Canadian grapes.
Very little of what I consume or buy is made in China.
I'm just funny that way.

Establishing cause for the arrest of a suspected illegal alien, is more easy than you think. I could do it to 50 illegals, in 30 minutes. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, let me give you some advice. It's not easy. At the end of your 30 minutes, you would be going to jail.
Why do you think the Minutemen don't engage and arrest the illegals and just phone the Border Patrol?

I don't bother with the Admins, since I know I level personal attacks anyways.Make up your mind. Back in post 116 you stated, "You will note I never post personal attacks."
Which is it?
To: clawrence3; BorderRaven
Yes - I would love to know how a citizen effectuates an arrest for a misdemeanor? In general, the citizen must witness the misdemeanor being committed.
In the case of illegal immigration, the citizen would have to see the guy cross the border illegally.

Now, if you saw a person cross the border, in the middle of the desert, how do you know he's committed a crime? My understanding from a long time ago as a cop is that entry to or exit from the United States must be done through a legal point of embarkation/debarkation.

That's the basics.
If the person can't cross at a legal point of embarkation/debarkation, he can cross anywhere and has a specific amount of time (if I recall, it's 48 hours) to present himself for inspection.
Also, being a former police officer, what elements are needed to commit a crime?
