FReeper Canteen ~ What's The Origin Of Your Screenname? ~ March 16, 2006
Ms.Behavin

What is the origin of your screen name? Come tell us your story.... How'd ya choose your screen name? A situation in your life? Part of a song? Your Military service?
For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin" that decided it for me! I bought a blouse that had that on the tag... Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin.. Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"
So there ya have it! Have fun! Please, no politics in The Canteen.. We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!
Now tell us YOUR story!! |

Great thread idea.
I graduated with my degree in meteorology and had my first child two months later.

It is interesting to see where everyone's screennames come from.

It sure is fun. I still do not know where "don't Dub me shapka broham" got his name.
To: Army Air Corps; Do not dub me shapka broham
"do not dub me" got his screenname from a book (if I remember correctly), but I don't remember which one it was.
By the way - Last night after I went offline, I got a second wind and was compelled to finish something that I had started. I was up until 2:30 am. At least now I'm not working on anything in particular so I can go right to bed after I log off. LOL!

I lurked long before I posted. After two months of listening to newscasters talking about Clinton/Lewinsky, and late night comedians joking about oral sex, bjs, and cigars--I was livid.
But what really made me think the World'sGoneInsane were the people defending it. I'm pretty sure it was right after the "vast right wing conspiracy" speech by Hilary that I just could not remain silent. My first post was a pretty good rant. That thread was very theuraputic--it made me realize only half the world had gone insane. I realized that the MSM just weren't interviewing or publicizing what many of us felt.

So, it will be just sleepy-time fer ya?

Plutarch is a good source, but I learned my history of the early Roman Republic from Livy. I love those long speeches that Livy himself must have heard. :)

This is more to an abstract answer, and has nothing against shaka there. But maybe there is a limit, and after that its to much information!! LOLOL.
Take RunningWolf for instance, well on the other hand, maybe not.., LOLOL!

My Spring Break consists of read, type, read, retype, read, edit, etc.
To: RunningWolf
My Spider Sense says that there is a story there... :-)

Oh well, at least you'll get a head-start on St. Patrick's Day.

That sounds similar to some of the things that I have been doing. Add data collection to that, and you'll have my wild and crazy spring break.
"Tulip Gone Wild"
I wonder if that would sell. LOL!

It has, hasn't it?
Now if we can just get a few thousand others to drop in and explain the provenance of their screen name.
:-))
