It's a spoiler for those of us who are frantically trying to catch up with 24.

I try to avoid all discussions of this season because I am currently on disc 4 of Season 4. I should be caught up with all you fellow 24iacs in a few days.

Hell, I now know that Edgar and Tony are dead... I guess it's not really a spoiler since I don't know *HOW* they died, so it will still be a surprise when it happens. (kinda-sorta)

Rush is setting the standard for the future by video broadcasting his show as well as providing audio in other formats too. FR creates threads in association with his show and others of popular interest. There will come a time in the near future when Rush and others combine the threads and the audio/video. This is where advertising will find a new area of profit.

What WBAL has done is sacrifice ratings and expense in the hope that with a lower operating budget the advertising will provide a profit. I don't think this idea would be considered forward thinking. It will be interesting to see how much of their audience disappears and what that means to the shows that went before and after Rush.

An absolute excellent point. I'm going to take that one out when some of my liberal acquaintences whine about high gas prices and the "windfall" profits of oil companies.

ANother Baltimore station, 680AM had Rush, but lost it because they refused to censure a lib host who was trashing Rush, and she was on just before his show. That station has nearly gone into obscurity, and probably could be purchased at firesale prices right now. WHen they had Rush, they were the top station.

I didn't hear the guy talk about shrinkage, but when I was a cashier at a gas station, the tanker driver told me they sucked out the evaporated gas...government regulation...and they converted that back into gas.
