The St.Louis Post-Dispatch is THE downstate paper for Illinois. They have only 8% undecided, which is apparently about what the Tribune poll is going to say are the remaining undecideds, also. Allegedly, the Tribune poll and CBS polls have the gap closing between Topika and Oberweis even MORE. I'll post them if they ever actually PUBLISH the damn polls and stop just talking about it on radio and television. Please follow suit also, and if you IL voters see any other polls - let us see them ASAP!!! We need the info as soon as it is available.
Also, remember that Topinka will be getting crossover vote from the Democrats, as several unions which endorsed Blagojevuch last time have endorse Topinka in 2006 (Construction, Concrete Workers, Truckers to name a few).
Hold you breath guys; it's going to be an interesting ride. Any chance I can convince some of you to consider voting for Oberweis on the 21st? Even if you have to hold your nose to do so?
Let's stop TOPINKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are the other candidates "conservatives" who are splitting the conservative vote with Oberweiss? That often happens in Midwestern states, leading to liberal Republican nominees.

Let's pray for her defeat.

Oberweis said he thinks pro-lifers = the Taliban
He's as much a RINO as Topinka, but he decided it's easier to compete in primaries pretending to be conservative.

IMHO if Topinka gets the primary we might as well let Blago have another term. I don't see any difference in the two and sure don't want the sorry excuse for a party the GOP has in IL to be able to call getting Topinka elected a victory.
Not that I think the milkman would be much better. At least wtih him though there's still a slim chance he might be better and probably wouldn't be worse.

I'm voting for Bill Brady. I don't care if he is a spoiler or not, I met him and he seemed like the perfect candidate for governor. The rest of them are all the same.

Dont know much about IL politics but i hope whoever gets through the primary defeats that weirdo Blagovich - anyone who does not know that the Daily Show is a comedy show should not be running anything.

Brady needs to drop out, endorse Oberweis and run for the Senate in 08. Right now all he can do is help Judy win.

Aw jeez... I cannot believe that anyone is passing Brady by for Oberweis. What a bloody nightmare. I'm going to give this some thought, but I have to wonder if there's any way Topinka or Oberweis could beat Blagojevich. Sure, he's vulnerable, but both of them are Blago Lite.
