Trying to teach these people is an exercise in futility. Its like trying to teach a mule to sing. My goofy parents decided to become Quakers back on the 60's. I was switched to a quaker school and every attempt was made to thoroughly indoctrinate me at home and at school (along with all the other kids).

This is/was their idea of a well rounded education. civil and constitution law 3hours a day, 3 days a week from grade 5. Modern dance and Shakespeare. Hiking 2x per month (weather permitting) and field trips to every "peace" demonstration in driving distance. Oh and 2-3 camping 2 week camping trips per year. Sex Ed. was one the curriculum as well, in the form of the elderly Quaker Principle, John Way, reading us passages from dime store detective novels. I could barely count on my fingers or speel my way through a book of matches when I came out of there.............but I was very well trained to be a little booter moonbat and parrot all the propaganda.

And People wonder why I am so critical of the AFSC/Quaker and moombats in general. I have seen and experienced the damage these people do to society by inflicting their ideology on youth.

I could not agree more. I was raised in an extremely liberal home myself. Raised as a democrat from a very early age I was the perfect young moonbat. I did not know any different. It was only after I was out of my parents home did the real world hit me (and it hit me hard) and I actually began to see things as they were, and not how my parents thought they were.

I can tell you that the mindset has nothing to do with logic and has everything to do with "me me me" It is 100% emotional and has very little to do with facts. It' people who've been for lack of a better word been isolated and taught as their parents were. It's all about me and me feeling good. The other guy doesn't fit in with my world view unless it benefits me. Liberalism is selfishness defined.

I've come to look at liberalism as a mental disease. No one chooses to become that way, but are indoctrinated and brainwashed from youth. I've seen many young ones get out into the real world only to have the liberal idea fall flat on it's face.
