I have NEVER in my life been so FURIOUS over the behavior from my elected officials.
Capitol Hill DEMANDED a 45 day review- CLAIMING they wanted to take a step back, slow down, and review the facts of the deal.
When they were granted this compromise- you didn't DO ANY OF IT and SLAMMED the door in SIX DAYS!
SIX DAYS!
Now we learn that this was all about companies lobbying Schumer?
You HIJACKED the money for our TROOPS in the scandal no less.
I have many times BRAGGED about YOU being my Representative. Your actions have not shown statesman-like behavior.
If my utility company gave me 45 days to pay a bill and then turned off my utilities in 6 days I would be FURIOUS!
There was NO REASON to do this... NONE!
You had 45 days to allow us to get informed, and then voice our thoughts.
Instead you reacted to instant flash polls etc.. instead of looking at the facts and allowing us to learn them before we could make an informed choice- and THEN voice it to you!
I didn't bother calling or writing earlier- because I thought I had 45 days to do so...
YOU ARE THE ONES THAT GAVE US THOSE 45 DAYS and then YANKED THEM AWAY!
I will not trust ANYTHING you EVER promise to us again.
I will support ANYONE who opposes ANY of you in the primary.

I fear that the DPW ports deal shouting was also all about making sure that the lobbying of Congress, not just by Abramoff, got taken off the front page. AND IT WORKED!
We don't hear anything about how the DEMS and Republicans took money for votes. How Lobbyists have carte blanche with all of Congress in DC, and we certainly didn't hear anything about Able Danger, the Barrett Report and many other matters that we've been wanting the full and unadulterated truth on.
The Dems are so fantastic at sleight of hand, they should all be in showbiz. Unfortunately, for us, we are paying their salaries and they are supposed (operative word - supposed) to be doing the people's business while they are in DC.
It just makes me sick that Americans fell for the Democrats lines. Hook, line and sinker.
The media and the Democrats yelled "Arabs and security don't go together" and that's all they had to do. Picked up by every "face" on TV and radio, they got the word out that this deal would be dangerous for Americans.
It disgusts me that facts don't matter if the yelling from the other side is loud enough to drown out any truth.
It disgusts me that the White House communications office, and not even the wizard Karl Rove, understood how important it would be for the President to get out in front on this issue. The democrats figured out how to go to the right of the President, grabbed the headlines, and ultimately, they won.
In this political battle, Republicans didn't see how important it was to grab this away from the Democrats, but as it gets closer to November, they will see how the Dimies are going to use this, and how it might really cost the Pubbbies at the voting box.
ALL 545 members of the House are up for re-election this November.
I am concerned that if the House goes back to the Dims, they are really going to do what they've been threatening.....and that is, find some way to impeach this President. They are still SO steamed that Clinton was impeached, taht warranted or not, they are going to go for the gold ring, which for them is to impeach this President. Rush has predicted this, and I sure hope that the voters don't give the Dems the chance to do what they've been talking about with every dang issue.
