Good points all. Our side can get so emotionally involved that we sometimes forget what the alternatives would look like.
no!
LOL! but I played it out in my house this morning!
:-)
ROFLLLLL!!!!!
I don't have cable or satellite. Thank heavens because I might be tempted to watch some of those cable blowhards. The media is definitely the enemy. Let me just go back to my post of yesterday when I mentioned every ABC radio newsbreak for hours said the house passed the Patriot Act by 2 votes. It was 280 to 138 and those jerks said 2 votes. My mother used to say believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see. I think if she was alive she would probably say believe none of what you see and none of what you hear when watching the nightly news or reading the paper.
Got it!! Thanks. Now I have to get back to work.

Even with other small staging areas... this could end it all... which is want some of them wanted anyway. Either way... it will cost lives in one way or another.
EXCELLENT idea! Their pensions should also be paid w budget surpluses. That would certainly give them some incentive to trim some of the pork!
The fact is that conservative Republicans "think". Because we "think", it stands to reason, we will not always agree. Some were for, some were against, and some, like me, wanted more facts and the 45 SUPPOSED DAYS before making a decision. The MSM, Dems and RINOS, on the other hand, have an agenda, which is to undermine true conservativism, the constitution, and the values upon which our country was founded. Ergo, the Dems have a more cohesive strategy than conservative Republicans. Hate to say it, but tis true. They may be fewer in numbers, but they are alot better organized than us.
I fail to see where they have helped matters beyond what the citizenry have already done. Congress works best when they stay our of the way of progress instead of regulating it.
Each year, some 12,000 bills are introduced in Congress. About 1% of those become law. 18% are designed to modify the tax code in some way; many of those that become law are just to name post offices and federal buildings. They are wasting an incredible amount of their time, and our time.
The highway spending bill showed their true colors; they don't understand fiscal restraint. The upcoming lobbying reform bills showed their true ethical colors, they're blaming the lobbyists for the problems, not corrupt congressmen. If they were "good" congressmen they would limit their activities instead of doing things that seek adulation.

Thanks for the ping! Here in sono mode and intimidated by the thought of catching up with 350 posts! Maybe I'll start at the end!! ;>)
Don't know. I view myself as a gift to our marriage. Mrs. FOX takes the view that I am a curse.

Amen Caller... Tony did not parrot talking points... he googled the midnight oil away.
Amen. This Congress has been trying to gather power for a long time. It's the last place that foreign policy belongs.
A late good morning, Bahbah, thanks for the ping...a late work n' lurk today...
And thank Griff for me please. We know you're nothing without that great staff. You know what I mean.
I don't have sound, so I am at the mercy of thread this morning and can't answer that question.
I best check the radar if you are expecting storms south of me.
Morning, LL. Glad you are able to join us. It has been a very interesting program this morning.
I lived in Broomfield for twenty years, but we got gerrymandered into the Boulder axis of darkness and got Wirth and then the current socialist cretin.
Thought that I'd get a little closer to having a real representative when I moved to Montana, but this deal has me wondering. Can't decide if the first thing that happens to freshman congressmen on arrival in DC is castration or lobotomy.
