"So congress is responsible for all those good things? "
Congress is not responsible for "all" of those things, but surely we can give them credit for at least some of them.
I realize there is a lot of distrust against our government, but they are not the criminals the press makes them appear to be. If they were, our country would just be another fly by night third world country, and we are definitely not that.
Congress should be paid from budget surpluses.
Let them prove their worth.
I finally got the Fox feed to work. Had to reboot my system, to get it back. I usually have so many windows open, I'm not prepared to do that - because of all of the links that Ali Veritas gives during this thread.
Where is that fine lady BTW?
I think we are getting the tail end of Bahbah's storms from yesterday - I may have to disappear when the thunder and lightning start. ;oP
I love that speech by the President. THAT is who we are. This Dubai Ports World thing has just disgusted me about Congress and the press. The President is getting bashed just because it is an election year, and the weenies in DC are running for the hills.
WHO is this talking with Tony right now?
My primary point to ALL of my congresscreatures has been:
When exactly did your definition of representing my interests morph into chasing the latest pronouncement from the east coast news media?
(batting eyes....)
You have freepmail
No, there was some truth to it but not exactly and a lot more to the story.
LOL!
THANK GOD!
It's Rich Galen.
You're exactly right.
I'm just as sick of those so-called republicans who are not going to vote for republicans because of "whatever" as you are. Here's my advice to them. Vote democrat. Just don't complain when Hillary or some equally abhorrent person gets in office. Don't complain when people like Harold Ickes are back running the White House. Don't complain when Howard Dean is part of an administration shooting off his mouth. Don't complain when all we see on the tube is Bill Clinton doing whatever a "first man" (or in his case "zipper man") does. Yikes. Try thinking about the bloody consequeces. Luckily I have moderately low blood pressure or my head would be exploding.
LOL! No it sure wasn't you FOX!!
LOL!! OH MY!
Did the Pres give a speech this morning and I missed it? Dang it.
Me too. Great point using few words.
Denver can forget it since we have Diana DeGette. So, we tend to work for Tom Tancredo and others outside the Denver metro area.
Very true!
Well, you do have a good point there. It is obvious that many congressmen are there only to get the paycheck. The crooked ones get much more than their paychecks from crooked lobbyists. I think there was just a congressman in California who can attest to both of those.
But in general, it is much easier to remain honest as a public servant than it is to go crooked, because so many people will tell on them if they don't, and they know it.
He's still on, prairie. He's being smart and charming, answering questions now.
Dang it Bah, still looking.
