I just posted this on another thread, but the thread's fizzled out. What do you all think?
My husband's been to the UAE via his ship pulling into their port. If anyone is our friend over there, it is the UAE. He said they love Americans, they're filthy rich, and they were extremely courteous, kind and helpful to any and all Americans that he has seen. They are *so* important to our military that it isn't funny at all what is happening. I think many of us have jumped the gun here, though partly because we were only hearing about the port deal during the final hour.
Which leads me to another thought...has anyone wondered if this whole "presentation" in the first place isn't something that was masterminded by Rove? When I was listening to Rush last week discussing the Clintons and Bill's accepting money from the UAE (what appears to be) illegally...and Hillary's camp battling Bill's camp about who knew what and when about money changing hands...I was thinking about Rove and how brilliant that would be to not have to point out the Clinton deal, but to just sit back and let it come out in the wash. Has anyone mentioned anything similar? Is this crazy?
Unbelievable. They screw up and all of a sudden it's a master plan.
Will the longshoremen get locked out while the "new company" gets organized? What if P&O says : "we don't own it, we're not making any money here, so we're out of here?"

I mentioned on an earlier post here, that when Clinton goes against Clinton, there's a problem. Oh yeah, Jimmuh. Can't forget his worthless rearend. You make an interesting point about Rove, but I don't think he has quite the influence that people give him credit for. I smell something rotten in WDC...
