I have known several persons with the last name Mosely here in CA and they were black. Has anyone known of a person of that last name that was not? Just wondering.
I do.
There was a British politician named Oswald Mosely a few decades ago that was decidedly white and a strong opponent of any nonwhite immigration into the United Kingdom.
Excuse me but what the hell kind of question is that?!? Certain surnames are predominantly black?
"I have known several persons with the last name Mosely here in CA and they were black. Has anyone known of a person of that last name that was not? Just wondering."
That's silly. We already have photos of the kid, and he's white as a sheet. Further, I had a teacher with that last name. White, also.
Dude.
I'm not sure where you're coming from with your remark. I find your question incredibly racist since there's not any particular surname associated with a person being black. I've known a Gutierrez who was Irish. As far as Mosely, I went to school with a female caucasian with that last name.
That is a good example of inductive reasoning.
Special Agent Moseley, FBI. :)
Yes, many.
Many surnames are shared by blacks and whites. Africans who were born in this country as slaves chose a name on emancipation, often a European name, since the culture of the time was largely English-Welsh-Scotch-Irish-Dutch-German.
There was also a gold medal winner in skiing for the US. Johnny Mosely If I recall correctly.
My mother's maiden name is Fortune. Very Irish from cook. There are about 100 Fortune familiesin the U.S. and the majority are black. Don't guess a race based on a last name
