The first movie I ever saw Reese Witherspoon in was a really good one; A Far Off Place. She was the daughter of a couple who had some sort of farm in Africa, and she and the son of one of their friends who came to visit end up trekking across the Kalahari Desert. The young man was Ethan Embry who later played with her in Sweet Home Alabama.
