HAS ANYBODY SAID IT YET? BOYCOTT THE OSCARS (Oscars Live Thread)

I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.
Pass it on...

No appology necessary. We could probably count the names on two hands that are out of the closet conservatives in Hollywood. Bruce Willis -- I 'think" Mel Gibson?????
To: Petronski
A younger, skinnier, bustier Tom Hanks.

All signs tonight point to Hoopz.
Of course, Flav isn't with the woman the show picked, so it's probably New York.

This is the same Academy that believed that "Dances with Wolves" and "Forrest Gump" were better films than "Goodfellas" and "Pulp Fiction". Both of those ~were~ better films than "Goodfellas" and "Pulp Fiction".

Ang said he'd like to thank "gay mens." Touching.

That being said, I thought the movie was overrated. It does not deserve best picture.Agreed. But I think that adapted screenplay and best director wins are completely appropriate.

Way to go, Pat Summit's Vols. Yeah, I have to be a Lady Vols fan, otherwise Snookums will kill me, then divorce me, then get angry.

If they haven't done Brokeback poster parodies featuring either Cindy and Jesse or Fidel and Hugo yet...well, they ought to.

Now Hollyweird thinks they have to have top BBM. I think the poor sheep in the movie got ahead of themselves by breathing a sigh of relief.

Goodfellas is one of the best films ever made. Dances with Wolves was not.
