1st off, RIP. No doubt Mr Browne led many to increased political awareness during a period of political ennui in the mid 90's (myself included).
However, comments like this after 9/11 from Mr Browne caused me to shift away from the LP for good:
"It is American foreign policy that has provoked the attacks, not anything inherent in Muslim fundamentalism."
"The fact that bin Laden uses bad means to achieve his ends doesn't excuse our own government's mistakes; nor does it justify our government doing the same things he does."

Dittos. It showed that beneath all the glib talk, he had a mind of mush.

He spoke the truth. Our state department has supported the rise of fanatical Islam since the 1960s.
