Now here is my other question, what company in their right mind will want to buy this now vacated interest in these terminals?

I would never say that all pubbies are bad. I have not threatened to take my loyalty else where. I would like to smack a few people however. Nothing new there really.

Now here is my other question, what company in their right mind will want to buy this now vacated interest in these terminals? There are literally thousands of options. DPW creates wholly US-owned subsidiary - or one with controlling interest if not wholly US-owned. Individual operation could be sold off to business consortiums already in the business. Neighbors at various ports may have an interest, etc.
Whatever form the "new deal" takes need not resemble the proposed P&O -> DPW transfer.

I think Rush goofed on his announcement that Dubai Ports will divest itself of American investments. He just replayed Warner's statement, WORD FOR WORD. He can't make a mistake doing that.

Thus making an already convoluted business arrangement even more convoluted. Well I guess that's the best that be done on it. It would have been nice if these "gentlemen" and I use the term loosely had thought of this two weeks ago.

Limbaugh just played Warner's reading of the DPW press release, and it sounds as though DPW will have a hand in setting up a business structure of some sort. I don't see the interests being "sold" lock stock and barrel to some "American company" that already exists.

Fox says that a presser with Clinton, Schumer and Reid...re: the ports deal is going to be on shortly..
Let's see..."we should not rush into this deal"....after THEY rushed to get rid of the first deal...LOL

it sounds as though DPW will have a hand in setting up a business structure of some sort.Right. Schumer is hoping that it will be such that he can still demagogue it as Dubai having an ownership interest in the ports and thus risking our national security, but I know these people are not stupid and will figure out a way to set this up so as to deny him the opportunity, although he will do it anyway, which will make him look like a bigger putz.

Just by way of example, 100% of companies in Mexico MUST be Mexican owned and controlled. No problem for US companies to establish operations there that return profits to the US Corporation.

The corruption down there is, as an aside, just breathtaking.
