I know, it's Mardi Gras. And Mayor Nagin is trying to be funny. Probably he believes he is paying tribute to that "John Wayne Dude," Lt. Gen. Russel Honore.
But still, there' something funny about the imagery.
And I guess he better learn to ride if he is going to take up residence with the rest of his family in Texas after the elections.

Of course my first thought was that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse now have a new riding companion.

Nope, still just four - one got kicked out.
Now they're War, Famine, Pestilence and Doof.

I remember when I was a little boy, I used to like to dress up in my daddy's sheriff uniform. Sorta made me feel like a real man. Hmmm....

He is not a serious man, but then it was not a serious city. He may have been perfect for it, but I wonder if he still is now.

he is a disgrace to the uniform...
nagin should be put in the stocks or pillory.
To: Howlin
It's a cry for help. He's saying, "I'm crazy as a bedbug. Somebody throw a net over me!"
Also, isn't his horse the wrong color? Or is the horse symbolic of his desire to dominate the white man? Who knows? The man is goofier than Farrakhan.

He's saying, follow me boys I know where a bunch of buses are parked.

I guess that was Naggin's attempt at humor, to try and make fun of the only person and personnel that actually helped the city of New Orleans.
This is the perfect time for the old saying, "F%8k you and the horse you rode in on!!!"
