Man, he was a classic. This is truly sad.

This is a very sad loss. And it reminds me to get some of his movies for my kids.

Barney was my favorite tv character. He was hilarious, touching and decent.

God Bless, Mr. Knotts. Thank you for the entertainment, thank you for being you.

One of my favorite quotes:
Barney: "What you need to do is let me take him out back and teach him (Ernest T. Bass) a lesson."
Andy: "He'd kill ya."

RIP Mr. Limpet.

Thousands and thousands of words at my command, and not one fit to use when darkest night's at hand.

The Incredible Mr. Limpet (1964) was a fantastic flick...they don't make them like that anymore. God Bless you Mr. Knotts.

I remember the first time I saw him in "No Time For Sergeants" with Andy Griffith of course.
He really was a genius.

A great loss. Barney Fife, however, will never die.
He had so many great moments. One that comes to mind is when he was trying to recite the Gettysburg Address (with every single word coached by Andy), he wound up with his hair all messed up, which always cracks me up.

What a bummer. My kids love the "Apple Dumpling Gang" as much as I did.
