The mens room at Malden City Hall has earned high ratings on a Zagat-style, gay meet-up Web site, prompting city councilors Tuesday to call for the basement lavatories to be closed indefinitely. Mayor Richard Howard, however, overruled the decision Wednesday, and the bathrooms remain open. The Web site "Gay Universe" rates sites all over the U.S. for male-on-male sexual meet-ups, and the Massachusetts section lists some of the most public parks and beaches, prominent malls and department store bathrooms all over the Boston area. In addition to Malden City Hall, an unnamed public park on Fellsway East is named, along with public places in Medford and Somerville.

I think I'll read this when I get home. I'm betting the firewall at work won't like it.
Malden, MA, I believe, is home to one of the great congressmen from MA, Ed Markey. Now there is a REAL tool.
I'm sure Bawney Frank frequents all of them.
Fully equipped...may be required under public employee's union contract?
Ugh, don't remind me. I was walking my daughter to the bank and as we passed the ramshackle abode she remarked that it looked like a haunted house. When I told her who lived there she said; don't they pay him much. Since then he has put new siding on it. We figure he must be selling it since he no longer has to keep a residence in the district.

Hello, Malden?? There's a gay gloryhole in the wall -- I sure the place reeks all day and night of multiple foul odors, too. Disgusting.
They ought to install a mini guillotine over the hole.
"This is not an unordinary state for the mens room in City Hall. The hole in the stall partition, which shows an attempt to repair it, was presumably put there by men seeking to use it for sex acts. (Boston Herald staff photo by David Goldman)"
I first met Ed when he was a new state rep on Beacon Hill back in 1973. He was a nice guy. Then, as time went by and he gained more influence in the state House, he turned into a real pill. Now, I'm sure, he has forgotten that his old man was a plumber.
Anybody see the episode of "The Shield" in which somebody booby-trapped a glory hole with a rat trap? They caught a rat, too.
His father was instrumental in getting the Immaculate Conception Church built and he never even asked that a pew be named for him. Whe I was young and foolish I worked on his first campaign becaise I thought he was like a Kennedy. Now that I am grown up, I realize I was right. I just didn't know what it meant then.
Tells you all you need to know about who's running Massachusetts on the local level. If I still lived there, I'd be a recluse.
Glory !!!!
Also the Iwo Jima memorial in D.C. is a favorite (or rather it used to be) for queer meetings.
Yup. That's how I ended up on Beacon Hill. Worked for a good and decent person, however. Like an old Truman Democrat. Funny how one's view of the world changes as time slips by, isn't it?
