Sure... few here want to hear it though.

Union=bad
End of story. That's the case recently, but not always the case. Unions came about because they were needed. Company store and all that. The relationship between American workers and management is unneccessarily adversarial. No one wins in that case. But that's how it is, and the balance of power swings like a pendulum.
Eliminate unions, and companies will abuse workers. Doubt me? How does Nike manufacutre tennis shoes in Indonesia?
Ideally a union would be a value add. It would negotiate, and guarantee performance. Modern unions are extortionists.
But if we could abolish unions today, there would be a need for them tomorrow.
I think wideawake succinctly described how I feel about unions.
Yes, unions were needed nearly a century ago. Nowadays there are plenty of laws on the books to protect employees without the need for socialistic union thugs. Collective bargaining is nothing more than protecting the inept and lazy.
I have never needed a union, and will never join one. I have found that the best way to stay employed and well paid is to make yourself as valuable as possible to your employer. Because of this attitude, I have never drawn unemployment compensation.
"But if we could abolish unions today, there would be a need for them tomorrow."
Needed in what way? To ensure wage controls against nations that make things for half the costs? I have no dog in this fight, and I really don't know how it is going to play out in 50 years.
