Mind you, we had been in Rapid City, South Dakota for a year and Fairbanks, Alaska for 3 1/2, driving from Fairbanks to South Florida, and wore our coats all the way down the Alaska Highway and Rocky Mountains, until we turned the corner in New Mexico; hit soon after in Texas by 105 degree heat - OH, MAN!!...
