i think PETA should be pro-life, too, and stop throwing bombs at medical research labs. but that's just me

OTOH, if the choice were between a fetus and an animal, I think we know how PETA would choose.

There is a more pragmatic reason the Dims should oppose abortion ---
90% of the people of color vote democrat
Various statistics say 40% - 80% of the abortions are of people of color
Huge potential voter block (or voter fraud block) that would presumably show up in the democrat column

I've been waiting for libs to figure this out. As George Will once wrote, if someone from Mars were to visit earth, have the basic tenets of liberalism and conservatism explained to him, and asked how he would suppose a liberal should stand on abortion, the little green guy would assume that libs must surely be opposed.

Wow, some coherent thoughts coming from someone who's a member of Peta and the ACLU? Well, it could certainly help.
It would be kind of like in a superhero show, where the hero has to temporarily join forces with an enemy to defeat an even greater threat.

I think that abortion for liberals is a good thing. In fact, they need more of them. And why limit it to late-term? Why not abort liberals after birth? ...even 30 or 40 years after?
And since the liberal mindset is for "sustainable everything", then they should realize that with so many liberal/green/socialist/communist countries, space and resources are running out, mostly because of liberals. Just look at China alone!
It only makes sense that they should practice what they preach. Just think how cleaner our air would be and how much less global warming there would be with fewer liberals riding in limos and flying jets to activist events and Hollyweird galas.
Save the planet. Support liberal abortion and euthanasia!
Meanwhile, all true conservatives should multiply like bunnies.

The Liberal Case Against Abortion is unlike any other pro-life book So I take it that it makes totally different arguments against abortion. Or else liberals have found yet another way to claim conservative views aren't really conservative.

I've often noted that the philosophical underpinnings of the anti-abortion movement have a lot in common with those of the extremist animal rights movement. This confirms my belief.
