Okay, FReepers, intellectual honesty forces me to say it -- DICK CHENEY SHOULD RESIGN!

As many of you know, I have been a big supporter of this president. As commander in chief and one who has a clear and resolute vision of the war we are fighting, I love the guy. (Yes, we should have an emergency closing of the borders until we get them under control.) It is unimaginable to think that the current group of traitorous Democrats would be in charge. We might already be using prayer rugs several times a day.
I also love Dick Cheney. He is a steadying force and invaluable asset to the administration.
Well, as much respect as I have for both of them, this latest incident involving the Vice President has to make us wonder and evaluate our political loyalty.
Cheney shot a fellow hunter, he failed to observe required safety precautions, and he didn't have a valid $7 stamp on his license to hunt quail in Texas. What is even more egregious is that he didn't immediately get on the phone to tell the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Houston Chronicle, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, Dallas Morning News, Minneapolis Star, etc. That is unforgivable. How can Cheney get away with that?
So let me be the first FReeper to say it publicly. It is with heavy heart that I say it. Vice President Dick Cheney should resign. From the NRA.

My favorite saying over the last couple of days, is that no matter what has taken place, I'd still rather go hunting with Cheney than ride in a car with Ted Kennedy. Dick will probably answer more questions related to the shooting this week alone, than Ted Kennedy has answered over the last 40 years.

Judging by the boo hoo level among reporters of the WH press corps, you would have thought Cheney had shot one of them. Not a bad idea on reflection...

Um, if he had had a car accident, should he have to resign from the AAA?

No reason for him to resign from the National
Rifle Association, as he was using a shotgun.
Now, if he would have knee-capped someone with a .308...

I think this incident demonstrates Dick Cheneys firm opposition to Gun Control, both on a policy and personal level...

How pathetic! And what Left wing fanatical PAC do you represent? I find your conspiracy theories trite, insipid and nothing but hyperbole but hey the left is all about ineptness.

I agree completely. Wish that President Bush and his father never allowed the impeached ex-pres Clinton ever to be in the same room, or plane or near them. This "brother" "son" thing is represhensible, ridiculous and it saddens me to see such fine honorable men stand with pond scum. It's absurd to think that they feel they are in some kind of club...I wouldn't want to be in a club that allowed impeached presidents in who cared more about their legacy than our national security.
But all kidding aside about the Cheney incident, where were Cheney's SSA's?

I wonder if we could convince Mo Dowd to take a day in the field with the V.P?

April 1 Press Secretary McClellan should announce President Bush's resignation from the briefing room, pause 10 seconds, then deliver the April 1 punchline and leave.
