The Taliban allowed the people to vote on their representatives, and they, in turn, created laws passed by a majority?

I'm glad I didn't say anything remotely like that. I guess someone made that up.

If the majority in a town, county, state, country, wish to propose laws that coincide with their morals, that is their right.

Jim Crow.

And,,,governments don't have "rights". They have powers. Some are even legitimate.

Not trying to pass laws that would protect your moral underpinings in America, is equivalent to surrender.

No it's not.

That I will not do.

Not your call.

Ok, I play your little word dance. This is what you posted....

"If we passed forced based laws (all of them) against everything offensive or immoral the ultimate result would be something akin to the Taliban rule in Afghanistan."

All of the laws in America are passed by a majority. Taliban rule was a Islamofascism, no voice of the people. Comparing the two is seriously flawed, but if you don't see that, then I'm sure nothing I say will change your mind.

"If the majority in a town, county, state, country, wish to propose laws that coincide with their morals, that is their right.

Yeah, and those laws were overturned. That's one of the beautiful differences between us and the Taliban...there is no option in their system to change their laws.

And,,,governments don't have "rights". They have powers. Some are even legitimate.

I didn't say governments have rights, I implied that the citizens have rights.

Your opinion verses mine. That's another beautiful difference between the Taliban and America, You and I can completely disagree and not worry about going to jail over expressing ideas.

That I will not do.

Not your call.

Oh, really! You gonna stop me from advocating laws that support or protect my moral beliefs! Now you are sounding like the Taliban.
