This is getting entirely unfunny.
Today, I had to show a passport, drivers license, proof of residence, social security card, sign an acknowledgement, and get a "designated package holder" to buy Sudafed.

But at least you have the comfort of knowing that your complete surrender of liberty helped keep someone from getting high.
Oh, wait. No it didn't. The drug manufacturer just stopped buying ephedrine at CVS and got a lot more of it for a lot cheaper off of the internet. Well, at least you have the comfort of knowing the junkie got his drugs for a lot less because of your complete surrender of liberty.
Seriously, though, I understand your frustration. I have chronic sinus problems, and I had to sign up for their little watchlist, too.

"Today, I had to show a passport, drivers license, proof of residence, social security card, sign an acknowledgement, and get a "designated package holder" to buy Sudafed."I hear you. Congress should have just prohibited all medicines containing pseudoephedrine and been done with it, rather than having people go through the hassle.
What were they thinking?

LOL! Do you live in Oregon? I only had to show my driver's license and sign an acknowledgment to get my Sudafed a couple weeks ago - all while the pharmacist grumbled how insanely stupid this whole process was.
