The records reveal that Abramoff's lobbying team billed for nearly two dozen contacts with Reid's office in a period of one year. The discussions regarded Democratic legislation to set the minimum wage for the Northern Mariana Islands, an Abramoff client, initially almost $3 lower than other US states and territories.

This wont be all over the news. Senator Reid assured us this was a Republican scandal/ huge sarcasm alert!

"IF" it's on the evening news tonight, is buried on Saturday news.
Let's see if the Sunday shows ignore it.

This isn't gonna get coverage in the MSM. They've already proclaimed this a Republican scandal.

He was practically screaming a few weeks ago that this is a "REPUBLICAN SCANDAL"!!!
To: lexington minuteman 1775
$10 says it won't be amongst the first ten stories. I'd be surprised if its mentioned.
Anyone want to bet it was deliberately popped on Saturday's news cycle ?
To: onyx
I suggest that, when contacting any of the MSM, we put in the subject line of our emails "Do I have to get ALL my news off the internet?" Then list the things they're not covering:
Able Danger
Harry Reid
Barrett Report
...and the list goes on.

Sunday 'news-shows' will focus on the 6 billion 'missing' in Iraq... 'domestic-spying'... and a weakened Patriot Act. We will hear about offensive, Arab religious-cartoons... but not see them. Dick Cheney will be referred to as a possible target in Fitzgerald's, witch-hunt... and all of America will know their was a snowstorm in the NEast.
But there will be no mention of the impending war with Iran.

Looks like the Dems have a policy that their leaders won't step down until they are indicted. Good for them.
To: BlueJ7
I think that a diligent US attorney would start parading all these guys in front of a grand jury. You don't necessarily need to indict them. Just give a media spectacle. But if the grand jury is inclined to indict.... Then so be it.

All the better, really. Let the shock really set in when he's indicted. Then the media will have to explain why they completely ignored the story for months.
To: BlueJ7
I don't think its possible that Dingy Harry can survive this... especially since the new slogan of Culture of Corruption wasn't supposed to describe the dims. My question is who do they pick as the next leader... a far left extremist or a centrist. My guess is that they wont learn from their mistakes and listen to the far left money/blogosphere and pick another far lefty.

I hope you're NOT right, but HOPE is as far as I can go.
