Director Spike Lee, known for his stylish and controversial films, said Mississippi should get rid of the state flag during a speech at the University of Mississippi's Black History Month celebration.
Lee said Mississippians cling too tightly to what he considers symbols of oppression.
"You've gotta do something about that flag," he said. "I know people say its representative of history. Well, so's the swastika."

Trying think about the good; not always bad. You might learn something; instead of making lots of money which is really what you are all about. You probably don't even give a rat's patoody about anything; but yourself.

I expect to see Spike Lee in one of those "used to be somewhat relevant" reality TV shows, though in his case it bordered on never relevant.

Yeah Spike an' bein' from Texas here, I fly my "Come and Take It" flag every Cinco de Mayo--or--the 1824 "Alamo" flag and that's history too, live with it.
I'm glad Mississippi isn't like Georgia which keeps dinking around with it's flag to appease the PC crowd. Now their flag doesn't mean a thing.
