A Brockton first-grader was suspended from school for three days last month after school officials said that he sexually harassed a girl in his class.
NewsCenter 5's Jim Boyd reported Tuesday that officials at the Downey Elementary School called the boy's mother, Berthena Dorinvil, on Jan. 30, and asked her to pick up her child from the school. Dorinvil said that officials told her that her son was being suspended for sexually harassing a 6-year-old female classmate.
"My son told me that the girl touched him first, so he touched her back," Dorinvil said. "I was shocked. I was crying. I was out of control," Dorinvil said.
School officials would not speak on camera, and police officers were posted at the school Tuesday afternoon. The school superintendent released a statement that said, "The safety and well-being of Brockton public school students and staff is of the utmost important to us, and we take all allegations of sexual harassment seriously."
Dorinvil has asked school officials to transfer her son to another school, but officials have not agreed to her request.

Utter ridiculous ..i assume a public asylum
Her reaction doesn't seem unreasonable for any mother who has just been informed by a bunch of dimwits that her CHILD is a child molester. I don't know how she left the school without punching somebody.
Oh and they want kids to know all about sex asap ... just shaking my head ...

Yes, the gross HYPOCRISY of the liberal left. They are so stupid, they cannot even see their own hypocrisy and insanity.
Teach em young. I've just had my re-education in the form of a mandatory sexual harrassment/descrimination class at work. Been thru these before, but really worked up because of the refresher and a recent sexual/racial lawsuit.
They sure taught me. I have vowed to never again hire another female, minority or disabled person.
descrimination=discrimination
picky piky pickey
IF either of these kids (doesn't matter which one) touched the other one in a sexual manner, that probably means something wrong is going on at home.
Are you trying to make my drink spew out of my nose? If so, you might get a bill for a monitor.
this is clinically insane. someone get a rope.
Only in Massachusetts..Only in Massachusetts, could a First Grader be dubbed a Sexual Harrasser, and Ted Kennedy could drown a girl and get off scott free....yes...insane ..insane.
Yes, Massachusetts liberal insanity is hiding behind the police.
Oh, protecting the children? Was the boy protected here - or harmed?
Sounds sick.
While trying to sift through the kitty litter of gobbledygook for a few solid facts and/or policies, the one thing which stood out was that a Kindergardener who engaged in in appropriate contact with another student would be written up for sexual harassment.
Searching further for a definition for "inappropriate contact" disclosed that "inappropriate contact" included a simple hug.
Although there were other reasons as well, that did it for me. (She is an affectionate child.)
She is happily attending a local parochial school, as will her little brother.
At that age "sexual" has no place in it.

They said no such thing!
it was a touching issue. Adults are supposed to have cool heads - not act even more immature than their children. I repeat, this mother has issues.
No doubt, this will end up in their permanent record, and the kid will be branded as a deviate (especially because the contact was with someone of the opposite sex.)
Of course, he will be branded the evil one, no matter who initiated contact, and this will follow him the rest of his life.
Wonderful.(/sarc)
