"Drunken driving and no valid license...sounds about right for the governor of our fair state who feels we should not have to show photo id's to vote. If his son does not need a valid license to drive while drunk, how can anyone expect a bogus voter to show an id on election day?"

Excellent observation! You described Wisconsin Democrats perfectly. :)

I used to live on Fish Hatchery, between Greenway Cross and Post Road.

Ah, how precious. You know damn well that if were an adult son of a state Pubbie, that would have made this morning's papers.

Heck, it still isn't mentioned anywhere on the Journtinel's website.

"Heck, it still isn't mentioned anywhere on the Journtinel's website."

I watched the local TV news at dinner (not WKOW who actually reported it first) and I timed it. They gave it 6 seconds of coverage. They didn't show a photo of the Governor's Son/Perp, either.

Six Seconds. Yeesh. They casually mentioned it between a story about a puppy being killed by a Pit Bull owned by an Ex-UW football player, and something about which butter spread Consumer Reports says is best.

Now THAT's some hard-hitting reporting, wouldn't you say? *Rolleyes*

Well, don't move back! It's getting ugly around here. Between murdered young women left in the ditch and the Governor's son out joyriding around while drunk...County M & Fish Hatchery are not the sweet old country roads that they used to be. ;)

I also noticed that the madison.com conglomerate also is spiking the bad news for Craps and family.

JSOnline's DayWatch FINALLY has the story, including some react from Craps.

Update from WKOW (the source) -
Online state court records show Doyle's driver's license was suspended July 18, 2005.

Spokesman for Governor Doyle, Dan Leistikow, told 27 News, Doyle was using Wisconsin First Lady Jessica Doyle's privately owned car at the time of incident. Fitchburg police officials had refused to release the name of the car's registered owner, citing state confidentiality rules.

I can just see the fall campaign now...Vote for Craps and Keg, the drinking and driving Wisconsinite's leader.

Is this the same 30-year-old "yout" I had to listen to last weekend lecture me on Orval Faubus and George Wallace, when he was commenting on the "Schoolroom Door" ad? You know, as if he lived through those times?

And isn't refusing a blood alcohol test like an automatic admission of guilt in WI?

Looks like they'll have to suspend his -- oh, wait --

Update from Wispolitics.com--typical boilerplate explanation, just fill in the blanks:

Gov. Doyle: Statements of Gov. Jim Doyle and Gus Doyle Re: Gus' Drunken Driving Arrest
2/6/2006

Contact: Anne Lupardus, Office of the Governor, 608-261-2162

“Over the weekend, my son Gus made a very bad mistake. He is an adult and is fully accountable for his actions. He feels terrible about what he did, and he knows he will have to pay the consequences.

“Jessica and I do not condone drinking and driving, nor will we ever. Our son’s actions were unacceptable, and he is taking responsibility for them.

“Jessica and I are disappointed, but we love our son very much. We will deal with this matter as a family."

Statement of Gus Doyle

“Early Sunday morning, I made a terrible mistake and one for which I take full responsibility. I am deeply sorry for what happened, and I am going to own up to the consequences. Drinking and driving is unacceptable and dangerous, and I apologize to those I put at risk and for being irresponsible.”

Well, all is forgiven then, I guess. *Rolleyes*

Man, Doyle's PR people must be tied up in knots these days. If things go according to the standard way these things play out, a body should surface soon.

If you all don't hear from me daily, call Crimestoppers! ;)

Augustus Doyle has a history of driving unregistered cars around and other misdemeanors. Check out Wisconsin Circuit Court Access and you will see a lot of disregard by this now contrite Son of Bozo for the rules and regulations.

Lovely! Six recorded run-ins with the law. Good thing Daddy's a lawyer, LOL! Looks like he started acting up a lot more since Daddy became Governor. Yes, it definately IS A "family matter" isn't it?

After additional "Freeping" by joem15, it has also been discovered that the OTHER son (Gabriel O. Doyle) has a half-dozen arrests under his belt, too.

Wow. Must be nice to have a socialist lawyer as a Dad. You can be a menace to society and get away with it! *Rolleyes*

http://wcca.wicourts.gov/index.xsl Just do a search on these names:

Augustus Doyle
Gabriel O. Doyle

While attending UW-Oshkosh in '96, it was well known that Gabe was living in the same dorm(N. Scott) as I. Being somewhat of a videogame fan, there were always competition in my room. I had never met Gabe until he came to my room one day with a friend of mine. There were rumors as to his action on campus regarding drugs and alcohol, but those are unfounded, and aren't right to speculate on now. But what can be speculated is that I've never played Madden football against a more obnoxious, loud-mouth, a-hole of a man. I can tolerate trash-talking, its part of the game, but he took it to a new level. He just had that 'my poo don't stink' attitude. My friends and I still love to make fun of that dill-hole.

Hmmm be interesting to see if anything went in front of Judge Adelman or if his wife's law firm (Elizabeth)Adelman did any defense work...
