The California GOP's problem is that the primary system elects the most right-wing politico out there. I know that RINOs and moderates are thin gruel, but I would prefer one of them to a libral democrat.

Case in point: Rosario Marin would have beat the socks off Barbar Boxer.

I am a NY voter. We do the same thing here, and I find it completely unacceptable. As a result we end up with people like Mike Bloomberg.

The guys you think of as right-wing only appear that way in comparison to their opposition. They are typically mainstream Republicans. Ronald Reagan was a conservative, not an extremist.

Matt Fong should have beaten the socks off of Barbara Boxer.

From what I recall, he was about as "right wing" as Bob Dole.

In fact, the chief complaint during that campaign-if I'm not mistaken-was that he was an Asian version of Bob Dole.

Look, people can gin up all the implausible political scenarios they want, but California has-unfortunately-turned into a blue-and worsening-abyss.

The public employee unions control everything-as was demonstrated during the most recent special election-and there is no way that any voter registration campaign is going to cancel out the votes of the millions, upon millions of newly enfranchised Mexican nationals that stream into that state every year.

I really doubt that. Boxer's got the safest seat in the Senate which explains why she can get away with being such a vile bitch in her 'appointment' as chief 'Rat attack dog.

I can't think of another Republican candidate more dismal than Marin. She sounded like a complete airhead when I heard her on radio and she has catered to the illegal immigrant folks for decades. Boxer would have eaten her alive.

Are you insane? I signed on to volunteer for campaign as soon as it was up. But let's face it. she was a lousy candidate.
