Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..
Gonzalez: No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Sessions just slapped Feinstein on her suggestion that Gonzales was untruthful.
Thank God, Sessions and Kyl are on Committee.
I called Specter's office early this morning and their voice mail box was full.....I've called again several times and the number is busy. I hope he's getting blasted!
I used TOLL FREE number 1-877-762-8762 for US Capitol to connect to Brownback, Frist and Graham's offices.
Asked what IF their family got threatening calls...would they want to first find a judge to ok tap on phone or would they want immediate action?? The President is trying to protect our families! They need to support him!
I really believe that for the Dems this whole NSA leak scandal, probably from a dem Senator, is not playing well at all in the battleground states like Ohio, Penn, and here in Arizona. A lot of people I know here in AZ are really steamed that a highly classified program was leaked by some a$$hole in our own senate. The Bush Admin needs to nail the senatorial leaker and execute him/her in a political sense, not literally. Identify the leaker and rebuke him publicly so he becomes a political "dead man walking" and loses his next election for sure. Then say they're studying all the ramifications of a prosecution for leaking and treason and leave it at that until after the mid-term elections.
LOL!
I can not WATCH. Just reading all of you guys comments. I have a t.v, but I just can't sit and watch these slimes butter up moveon.org du and hollywood gangsters.
Sessions kicking some butt...lol
Is his face red or is it just me? Either anger, or make-up
How many people are listening, will hear this news on TV tonight or read it in their paper - and have no clue this guy's every word is a LIE. Not many I would venture a guess - only those of us who research the news actually know when they are being fed a pile of Bull Sh$t.
Sessions upset the implications given today the President and the AG are somehow lying...
Sessions: It's not your reputation that you would be untruthful. When the president talks about the Patriot Act, we insist that it did not authorize non-warrant wiretap searches. Because it didn't. So don't you think it's unfair to mix uncalssified issues with the Patriot Act debate.
Gonzales: I'm not sure it's my place to decide what's fair and what isn't fair.
Sessions: The world is hearing this and people are suggesting the president and AG are deliberately lying and it's not fair or true.
(I wish we'd have a little more discussion of the cases Hatch mentioned because those cases made it pretty clear, to me at least, that the courts have ruled the president DID have the authority to run this program).
Grammer would be a good senator, I think. And how refreshing would that be to the Republicans in California to actually have representation in the Senate (says a New Jersey resident who can certainly feel THAT pain!).
Sessions: In the past, Graham, Daschle and Gebhardt were part of the gang of 8 that knew about this program (?).
Next up, ought to be IL. I mean, we have Osama Obama and Turbin. Help us!
Then why in the name of Elvis is she on the JUDICIARY Committee? aarrgghh
Gonzales: No one in Congress has asserted the program should be stopped.
Or the "farmer's daughter" from Arkansas.
I thought his face and even the top of his head was pretty red and probably another place we can't see. :o)
Sessions: The Super Bowl would be a prime target?
Gonzales: Clearly we'd have concerns that events like the SB would be attractive to AQ.
