Posted on 02/06/2006 6:08:53 AM PST by ken5050

Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

Biden: "You gotta know how to know, and we don't know."

Huh?

"And he literally laughed out loud at Gonzales's answer."

Never trust anyone who smiles as much as he does. What a weasel he is!

the comeback to that is so easy - these dimwit jihadis now know they cannot pickup a phone and call pakistan without it being monitored, so they will switch their communications to other methods.

"no, if the dems gain power they will authorize a police state to come after you and me."

You got that right, and I will add, they will authorize a police state again, like the Clintons did to their enemies.

Geez, Gorelick again!

Don't these guys understand that we know that dear sweet Jamie was and is a blatant partisan hack?

Of course, that's what all Democrats are . . . with the possible, occasional exception of Lieberman . . .

That's why I keep saying that I love when these Dems keep talking!! My family is the same. They refuse to believe that the Ben Nelsons and Zell Millers aren't the mainstream anymore. They still think that the Cindy Sheehans and the Howard Dean types are the fringe kooks ---- Let them keep talking and yelling

Plugs: We were told our troops would be greeted with open arms too. That was an honest mistake.

Do you know how many of these wiretaps have resulted in anything?

Gonzales: Without getting into specifics I can say that the Director of the FBI has said it's helped and been valuable. It's identified terrorists in the United States and support for terrorists. Gen. Hayden said this program has helped protect and prevent attacks here and abroad.

I'm forgetting what his answer was (LOL). I was too distracted by Plugs maniacal laughter about national security matters.

Biden wants to know if we have arrested anyone based on these intercepts?

Gonzales ducks.

When they call the roll in the Senate, the Senators do not know whether to answer 'Present' or 'Not guilty.'

Theodore Roosevelt

Priceless!

“(T)he Department of Justice believes, and the case law supports, that the president has inherent authority to conduct warrantless physical searches for foreign intelligence purposes and that the president may, as has been done, delegate this authority to the attorney general.” (Clinton administration Deputy Attorney General Jamie S. Gorelick, Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, U.S. House Of Representatives, testimony, July 14, 1994)

In 1994, President Clinton expanded the use of warrantless searches to entirely domestic situations with no foreign intelligence value whatsoever. In a radio address promoting a crimefighting bill, Mr. Clinton discussed a new policy to conduct warrantless searches in highly violent public housing projects.” (Charles Hurt, “ ‘Warrantless’ Searches Not Unprecedented,” The Washington Times, Dec. 22.)

“One of the most famous examples of warrantless searches in recent years was the investigation of CIA official Aldrich H. Ames, who ultimately pleaded guilty to spying for the former Soviet Union. That case was largely built upon secret searches of Ames’ home and office in 1993, conducted without federal warrants.” (Charles Hurt, “ ‘Warrantless’ Searches Not Unprecedented,” The Washington Times, Dec. 22)

“(T)he attorney general is authorized to approve physical searches, without a court order, to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year ...” (President Clinton, Executive Order 12949, “Foreign Intelligence Physical Searches,” Feb. 9, 1995).

And he literally laughed out loud at Gonzales's answer.

I'm listening on the radio from my office and his laugh was fully audible...he rarely fails to remind me of what a jerk he is.

The dirty dems have a double problem slandering Specter. They want him on their side because he is in charge of the Committee, and a RINO, and he recently came off of Chemotherapy and people still feel sorry for him. He is an egoist and that is problem three because if they question his integrity and authority he will go off on them. Sometimes you might feel a smigid sorry for Dingy Harry, not much just a teeny bit.

Biden has started to look---and sound---like George Carlin. Except Carlin was funnier and had something to say.

we both stayed quiet

That was our rule but it got to a point that I couldn't let certain things go unchallenged. I finally put my foot down and demanded that NO POLITICS will be discussed in my home when the family is present.

I'm embarrassed at what an idiot Plugs is.

Gonzales probably is too, he just can't say it.
