He did look frightened, too. I wonder if he is under investigation for the leak. I hope so.

I listened to AirAmerika a while ago....and they aren't even talking about this hearing...they are talking about that SUPPOSED new evidence that Isikoff says the have that says that "perhaps" Valerie Plame WAS sent out of the country undercover within the 5 year timeframe...
Therefore...the dems are in Fitzgasm over the possibility that all isn't lost in the Plamegate affair....LOL

Seems that the reason why they insist on not understanding is because that way they are able to say that Bush is lying. It is why they showed that portion on the tape outside the hearing. That along with gonzales saying that he would advise congress asap if the President was involved in anything illegal. Showing of that tape was to help the 'people' understand that both Bush and Gonzales are liars. I wonder who it was who advised that the tape could NOT be shown.
Yes, the in-between pressers on CSPAN. Don't know how the PowerLine guy got in but he asked the question posted in 1012. Guy brings up pajamamedia, Durbin says he's never heard of them, and the guy says "Well Dan Rather has". Durbin ends presser and walks off.

The American people understand more about this issue than the Democrats give them credit for. The Democrats are on the wrong side of history, and the WOT. They just can't bring themselves to admit it to the CSPAN cameras, that we got Leahy out there flailing his arms and screaming about Vermont Quakers, nuns and babies on "no-fly" lists, which has ZERO, ZIP, NADA, to do with the subject matter pertaining to this hearing.

Hearings on the NSA’s warrantless wiretapping start tomorrow. And so far, it’s AG Gonzales’ coming testimony that’s getting all the attention. Fair enough. The man does have some things to answer—and we’ll see if he really does so. But I think the real fireworks might be elsewhere.
Arlen Specter, who called the hearings, just told Big Tim that the witnesses are likely to include some top Justice Department officials who tried to put the kibosh on the program:

It was priceless. Was the worth the money for cable TV to be able to see his reaction when asked a non-pandering question and so asks "who are you?" and is told I'm from Powerline and he says "who" and then told "Powerline, you know, Pajama Media?" and then says "never heard of you" and walks quickly off the stange and the press confrence was over -- oh, yes he's told (as he walks off stage) "Dan Rather's heard of us!"

Kyl: From initial concerns about program itself now we're hearing new concerns.
I doubt anyone would be upset with this program if polled today. A little humility is called for on this committee before we accuse the president of a crime.
If our hearings with Alito and Roberts demonstrated anything it's that there are smart lawyers in Washington besides those who sit on this committee. LOL
