FReeper Canteen ~ Military Short Speak ~ Feb. 6, 2006
(Thanks Bro!) | Sweet Polly Purebread

Posted on 02/05/2006 6:58:31 PM PST by StarCMC

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT
Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies military and the family members of the above.
Honoring those who have served before.

********

That's right - the Canteen mission
Support the troops and all they do
They've given up so much
All for me and you

There are so many here
Who keep the aim sure and true
They support the troops
And have lots of fun too

We dance and play
And spin on our toes
A turn of phrase
A joke or some prose

All for the troops
Who visit and  bask
Looking for a friend
A break from their task

So thanks to my friends
You know who you are
This army sister's brother
Is home from the war

You made my life easy
You taught me some things
You brought me such peace
You gave me wings

I'll always hold dear
The ones who have cared
Who gave me their true friendship
Thank you FReeper Canteen.

A bugle call sounded when the U. S. flag is being lowered at the end of the day.
Retriever
A special tank designed as a sort of "wrecker" for tanks. What they are able to do is almost a miracle.

Reveille

A signal to awaken, get out of bed and begin the day. Often a bugle call, in boot camp more often the yells and screams of Drill Instructors and the sounds of GI cans crashing to the deck.

And...since when is you're not figuring out a wardrobe a new story! LOL!

Totally new set of issues now...you know how bruises get some really awesome blues/purples/yellows in them after they're about a week old?

When's the last time you bought clothes to match that?

Gas prices are so high that when Lady Jag pulled into a gas station and asked for 2 dollar’s worth, the attendant dabbed some behind her ears.

~~~~~~~~~~ tomkow pulled into a full service gas station today and asked for five dollars worth of gas.
The guy farted, took his five and walked away.
ROFL!!
Advice from the fashion expert...go with black. It goes with everything and is always in fashion! See...that was easy.
Sorry 'bout those ole nasty bruises..but they'll be gone soon and she'll look good as new...maybe better! (((hugs)))
Right, I can't trust mine, either, and some people don't understand and blame me, of all people!
Then there's the cats - they know keyboard shortcuts I've never heard of and, with those paws of theirs, can create loads of trouble for moi!
Nana's staying indoors for now, so soft sweatpants and a t-shirt are just the ticket...as are house dresses.
She has denim dresses she wears out, and the Ace bandage will cover the bruising quite nicely!
