For every ten penalty calls in any game, a couple of them will be ticky tack. Unfortunately, the ticky tack calls in this game just came at really critical times for Seattle. I believe if they punched it from the 2 prior to the holding call, they would've won. they seemed to be beating Pittsburgh on the line and they just needed the lead to take advantage. It didn't happen & they lost.
I thought Seattle was well prepared and executed far better against the Steelers than the top 3 AFC teams. The outcome did not work out for them though.
I agree.
While I will still question the Rothlisburger touchdown, the ticky-tack calls against the Seahawks came at critical times, and that really killed them.
I think Holgrem executed even better than I thought he would against the much hyped Steeler defense.
For the most part, the Seahawks were superior on the run and the pass. Their defense was excellent. But they got burned on the dog luck plays. The Steelers won in the end. Sucks, but the Seahawks will be back next year and will have the same unit, so I think they have a great chance to get back to the superbowl.
Steelers WIN! 26 years of waiting is over
Congrats to Bill Cowher, a Hall Of Fame coach got his championship
Congrats to Jerome Bettis, a Hall of Fame Champion gets his HS # retired, the key to a bankrupt city, and his championship in his home town.
Congrats to Heinz Ward, the most complete receiver in the game gets a well deserved MVP.
Congrats to Ben Roetheisberger, the youngest QB to ever win.
Congrats to the Steeler D, held the best 5 teams in 2005 football to 71 points and went 5-0 against them.
The Steelers had to win 8 straight and beat the best 5 teams and Minnesota on the road on a 6 game win streak.
