and......... may I add..... that the sicko is probably in a home right now!!!!!!?
ROFL!
There were some bad calls (a couple REALLY bad ones), but the Seahawks lost the game all on their own.
The Steelers didn't play all that well either, but they did when it counted, and the Seahawks fell short.
Not the best Super Bowl ever, but an honorable one.
My only point was that if the Steelers had scored on that drive the game would have been over.
Personally, I was rooting for Pittsburgh going into the game. About 6 penalties later, I turned.
(1) pass interference that should have been a touchdown.
(2) what was with all of the holding calls against Seattle? on successful plays?
(3) what was with all of the holding calls against Pittsburgh? oh, that's right, there were none.
(4) Some point in the 2nd quarter the seahawk ball carrier crossed the yellow line on 3rd down. the officials moved the ball back about 1 yard. 4th down. punt.
(5) on Big Ben's td ... the official with the view signaled down before the end zone -- then ran in to spot the ball. THEN he saw the ball across the plane. Bogus td.
(6) Phantom illegal block on hasselback.
(7) Seriously . . . how much taunting can one team perform?
(8) boo on ABC. We all know they've got like 40 cameras at the superbowl. On the play where Big Ben nearly crossed the line of scrimmage then threw, the best ABC could do was show us the view from the back side endzone? Please. They did what they could to keep the story of the big game from being the officiating. Hopefully they'll be unsuccessful.
Neither of those teams looked like deserving superbowl champs. But the Steelers were given the game. Perhaps payback for all of their crying about the indy game's calls.
For Steeler fans on here to belittle the Hawk fans is amusing. That's all I heard after the Indy game from Steeler fans -- "the officials tried to rob us yadda yadda."
In my opinion ther was NO MVP!
I personally know where they hide the slush fund to pay off the refs.
*Donning tinfoil hat*
Now the Steelers offensive coordinator will be the coach of the Raiders and they wont be back next year. Who cares I dont.
Oh great one... Do please bless us all with your authoritative insight on the call of the game by the striped ones. Yes, Seattle couldn't get it done when they had the few chances not canc'd by the terrible towels coming from the zebra's back pocket. How about #8 blue being called for a 15 yard ILLEGAL BLOCK, AFTER the change of possesion? Do illuminate us with your wisdom, won't you?
I think out of Pittsburgh's four post season wins that was their least impressive performance but it was good enough tonight.
Hint: Knock it off now or you'll get a time out
I don't know the whole story in that Hamlin incident but what I have read is that Hamlin started that fight and that the club owner where it happeded has a video tape of the incident.
Anyone in the Seattle area know more info on what happened??
There was a hold on Jerramy Stevens that was not called and was far more flagrant than the DJ pushoff. And the hold on the Stevens catch at the 2 was also marginal. That's 14 points; that's the game.
Well they had to pick someone. I thought Parker might have gotten it just on his record run.
You needed a little more oxygen at your birth.
TO MAINEMAN:
You're an abusive, psychotic, lying little boy.
And you have been caught too many times to be comfortable with yourself, so you lash out at those you hate.
Get help.
What whiners you all are......pathetic.
I sure did. Those guys were the REAL Dallas Cowboys. Oh,how I loved them!
Too Tall Jones
Harvey Martin..."Martinized"!
Robert Newhouse
Roger "Dodger" Staubach
Tom Landry
~sigh~
I didnt have a dog in this hunt, but wanted to see a competitive game and ended up watching a scripted movie.
But they did what they needed to do to win, and Seattle didn't.
As a Browns' fan who used to hate the Steelers (except when they played Denver ;), I thought they deserved to win this one, messy or not.
Very happy for the Bus, and for Bill Cowher. Good guys.
Busch also supports the Boy Scouts!
