Hey Seattle,
I tuned in to the weather channel this morning to hear them say that your weather has knocked out power for many people. Is that true?
It would be a shame for some of you to miss a Steeler victory.

My prediction is more of a wild-ass hunch: Pittsburgh 26, Seattle 17 (because those two numbers have been stuck in my head for a week).
But I'm going to quote (from memory) the great Ronald Reagan on the occasion of his live-via-satellite flip of the coin at Super Bowl XIX. It was a prayer he liked to make before sporting events:
May both teams play at their very best, may the best team win, may there be no injuries, and may no one leave the field with any regrets.
Now, let's get it on!

I haven't even started yet. I wait until the game starts. That way I'm well fed and have something in me to absorb some of the alcohol.
More trash talking on this thread than came out of Joey Porter's mouth. LOL, I'm having a good time!

. That DNA stuff on the ball is real strange.
THERE IS NO NEED for these balls to be SLIPPERY.

I live a few miles outside of Detroit and went to lunch yesterday and the entire place was packed with Steeler jerseys. And, they were fully welcomed here. We get Pittsburg. Seattle? Not so much.

Thanks for your concern. There were well over 100k w.o. power but they've been working to bring them all back up. First blue skies here in a while - omen maybe (BTW - it's also supposed to be nice on Tuesday - for the Seahawks victory parade).

In Fridays media reports, Mike Holmgren said the Seattle players were "tense" they were tired of listening to him talk and he felt they needed to be left alone. They were "ready to get the game started already."
Could be considered tight.
To contrast Cowher said they had a spirited practice Thursday and the players were loose. Could all be "coach-speak", could be mind games, who knows.

Since it's about 6 hours until the game starts, you can get VERY calm ;-)I gotta be honest. I couldn't take the heavy duty, heart pounding drama again this week.
The past weeks' games were just too hard to take......... almost killed a lot of us. So I had a solution. About 9:00 a.m. this morning, I called my buddy in Sydney, Australia. It was 1:00 a.m. Monday there. He already knew how the game came out, read it in the newspapers ................he told me already. Who wants to know what happened?
:-)
