John Zimmerman is right. The Muslim countries have chosen to pressure liberal little Denmark in order to teach the media and governments, which stand by them, a lesson which does not bode well for free speech or satire. Kuwait has joined the Saudi boycott (the Saudi market alone is worth 1.2 billion) and I suspect the rest will follow. So, here is a plea from my Danish friends:
"If you Americans look with this great sympathy on our case, couldn't you then raise a consumer support of DK in the US? The opposite of a boycott. A movement of: "Buy Danish!" Please?

A semi-soft ripening, buttery, mild cheese, kind of like Muenster.
Wouldn't it be nice if that happened. The Islamists look at us with utter contempt, because they only understand the sword, not kindness and diplomacy.
Would the men and women who fought to bring this country to fruition, put up with this kind of savagery for even one second? I sincerely hope and pray that the Danes haven't forgotten their roots and go apeshit on them. At least deport every darn Muslim from Danish soil.
Can you imagine the howls, and spontaneous bowel movements from the UN, if people fought back?
Hey! Lookie there! :-)
Great idea. I will certainly keep an eye out for those country's products when I shop. Sheesh my bad? I never even thought to boycott them. I thought all they exported were nuts bearing bombs : (
We're watching flight 93 on A&E at the moment. Kind of ties in to what's happening. Never forget!
About food, I would say. "Nej Du! Det smager dejligt!" or direct translation, No you! That tastes delightful. The colloquial usage would be. Wow! That tastes great!
Let's see now, I'm half Dane, mrsdd thinks I'm Great, so do my kids and grandsons, but I can't be bought.
Now if I was a dem, it would simply be a matter of show me the money.
Another idea I had was armbands. It's a long shot but wouldn't it be fun to wear armbands with a Danish symbol on them.
A solidarity movement reminiscent of WW2 when the Danes were so courageous in their own solidarity with the Jews. It's not like these islamonazis didn't earn their name, after all.
Instead of the silly ribbons on the back of cars. How about a Danish Flag? Matter of fact, I think I will buy some vinyl labels and run the flags on the color laser printer.
Wonder where you can buy a Tshirt with a Danish flag on it? Hmmm.
Lotsa good stuff here.
Most of the baby back ribs consumed in the US come from Denmark.
Mmmm, that sounds delicious! I'm almost afraid to mention how much I like cheese. The moose ya know ;-)

I think Minnesota has a mostly Dane community called Gonvik. Some folks refer to it as Gunrack, MN.
