For a socialist alternative in the 2006 US elections (all that I can say is.....wow)
Socialist Equality Party ^ | Jan 24, 2006 | Socialist Equality Party

The Socialist Equality Party will run candidates for federal and state office in the 2006 US mid-term elections. The SEP will campaign in as many states as possible to build a mass political movement in opposition to the two parties of the ruling elite and big business, the Democrats and Republicans.

The SEP campaign will give voice and leadership to the opposition of millions of working people and youth within the United States and internationally to the Bush administration’s policies of war, repression and exploitation.

The United States is in the throes of a profound political, economic, social and moral crisis. It is a nation whose global imperial aims have become odious to millions of its own citizens.

I have found the Party that many of the DUmmies have been searching for. This Party has taken all of the rhetoric from over the last five years and has combined it into a campaign platform.

Please inform every DUmmie that you know about this Party.

Unfortunately, I've seen that first line trumpeted on FR quite a bit too from time to time....

Apparently to the SEP, the Democrats simply do not go far enough.

Hey, another party saying nothing but 'I'm not the other guy.' That's all the Dems are saying, too.

I'm actually really surprised that a third party whose views are socialist, hasn't been created yet. It's partially not surprising because we all know that most far-leftists are too disorganized to begin a real party.

Since the Canadian elections, I've wondered why an US version of the NDP hasn't been created. You know, a full welfare government, no military, pensions, entitlements abound. God knows with the promise of more and more welfare money, they'd definitely have a chance at grabbing seats from the Dems in the inner-cities and dilusional yup enclaves. That said, they'd probably have to vote along Democrat lines in most debates and their legislation would have absolutely no shot, but its kind of like the Greenies.

If this socialist party gains something more than a mediocre amount of steam, then I suspect it would pull enough democrats into it to swing some close races into a republican win.

Check out the first line. Classic. Should I ping others to this thread who might be interested in what the Equality Party has to offer?
