BOSTON (AP) -- Three Massachusetts women backed by pro-abortion rights groups sued Wal-Mart on Wednesday, saying the retail giant violated a state regulation by failing to stock emergency contraception pills in its pharmacies.
The suit filed in Suffolk Superior Court seeks a court order compelling the company to stock the so-called "morning after pill," in its 44 Wal-Marts and four Sam Club stores in Massachusetts, all of which have pharmacies.

Uh, yeah... this public record alone shows pre-meditation and prejudice; Though they will say it doesn't matter, all meds should be provided (it's their 'right' and their 'mental health' was damaged.

You hit the nail on the head. Not only that, it was easily available by their admission at other places.

I wonder what constitutes a commonly prescribed medicine?
How many people ask for EC and what measure makes it common.

WAL-MART is hated by liberals publicly for 2 reasons, although the typical shopper at WAL-MART is a low to middle income middle-aged or senior liberal woman based on my own unscientific observations: 1. WAL-MART is anti-union.
2. WAL-MART contributes more in its political contributions to Republicans than Democrats. Most shoppers and people who complain about WAL-MART don't know about #2 and many couldn't care about #1.
WAL-MART should be able to stock its pharmacies with whatever it wants or doesn't want to put on the shelf. The argument that these 3 abortion fanatics are suing over should have as much merit as suing Home Depot because it doesn't stock toilet paper and they may have soiled their pants. Except in Illinois where it appears to be mandatory to stock, WAL-MART's should be able to stock or refuse to stock anything they want.
This suit should go down in flames and the crazy courts in Taxachusetts should toss this one on the sidewalk where it can fall in the sewer where it belongs.

I would like to sue anyone who refuses to sell diet Coke! Extend that suit to include anyone who does sell diet Pepsi and I'll join you.

And you would have a case if your State Legislature had seen fit to pass a law requiring retailers to offer for sale all commonly drunk soft drinks.
The plaintiffs may have a case. Which is why Wal-mart is seeking clarification. The root of this idiocy is the over-reaching legislature. But they were elected by the citizens, weren't they.

I should be able to force any business to sell what I want them to sell, right? They should also be required to sell it to you and I at below their cost.
How dare they make a profit on any item they sell !

WalMart could close their store pharmacies in Massachusetts.
I'm surprised that Planned Parenthood hasn't opened their own pharmacies! Heck, they could even offer all the drugs for free!

Nice try but the morning-after pill doesn't work if you're already pregnant.

"WalMart could close their store pharmacies in Massachusetts." It wouldn't be the first time that Walmart sidestepped certain outsider generated "complaints." If I remember correctly, when confronted by a meat cutter's union, or some such as that, Walmart just stopped hiring it's own meat cutters and started buying prepackaged meat.

Nothing to see here, Kids. It's just the Looney Left Culture of Death creating more "Mother Sheehans" to carry their water as they can't get what they want through Congress or through the courts or through winning elections. ;)

He added that Wal-Mart would formally request clarification of the state regulation from Attorney General Tom Reilly or the state's Board of Pharmacy. He said if either directs the company to carry certain products, "Wal-Mart will abide." So what's the problem?
