So, she is right on this issue. Unlike you.
Elmer gantry must be one of your heroes.
Tom Tancredo is one of those guys who plays to a niche market. Of course he's gonna disagree with anything Bush says, because to do otherwise would alienate his niche supporters. He's very much like Pat Buchanan or the late David Hackworth in that respect.
I have no doubt of Tom's sincerity on the issue of illegal immigration -- he really does think it's a problem. And it really is a problem.
But Tancredo's history tells us that his first priority is to gain attention for Tom Tancredo. He's a loudmouth, arm-waver, and apparently very difficult to work with. One cannot expect him to be the agent of a workable solution to the problem.
According to the INS, three of the 19 hijackers were here illegally on expired visas, and two were able to obtain valid visas despite being on U.S. intelligence agency watch lists.
I thought drama queens spent their time on soaps. I hadn't realized that all of our immigration problems started during the Bush Administration.
Bay Buchanan is looking good. Major props to Pat and Bay on illegal immigration
It's all about AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY. May God bless America. {I think George Bush said that last night:)}
Anyone who opposes illegal immigration is my friend. The vast majority of Americans oppose illegal immigration. The House Immigration Reform Caucus and its members support the efforts of Cong Tancredo. Those members include Mike Pence, my guy Joel Hefley, John Shadegg, James Sensenbrenner, Henry Hyde and 75 other Congressmen. The Kyl-Cornyn immigration bill is far better then the McCain-Kennedy bill, however, neither proposal gets the job done.
For all the things President Bush has done right since his election and re-election, immigration is the one thing he done COMPLETELY WRONG! He ran like a rabbit from the subject during both of his campaigns, and has done virtually NOTHING to actually enforce the LAWS in place. Guest worker program, my ass! We're being INVADED! Just because the illegals don't have guns doesn't make it any less so. I'm sorry, but I have NO confidence in the President on this issue!
Build the fence and militarize the boder. Period. Otherwise, America as we know it will disappear one day.
Well gneius, it takes a Senate to pass a immigration reform bill and what does your hero tancredo do. He pushes away allies(Kyl/Cornyn) to grandstand and massage his ego, IMO.

I call the State to report them, they act like I'm just jealous of the success of the competitors, and being petty. I doubt if they've ever responded.
The States have to get involved too. This is not just a federal problem. It's funny how we on FR tend to want to empower the States....unless it's about illegal immigration. Then we want to blame the President. Do you really think the congress is ready to work with him on this issue? They gleefully applauded when Bush mentioned the defeat of Social Security reform.
The action need to be more swift and more aggressive than waiting for congress to support the President on illegal immigration.
>Bush Doesn't Get It on Immigration
I think he gets it, but his neocon puppetmasters won't let him fix the borders.

Mexico owes the U.S.A.!
Happy New Year! I had a little time off during the holidays and got to thinking (which often worries criminals) about the recent changes in federal legislation regarding homeland security.
It occurred to me that in all this new legislation, nothing has been mentioned about holding Mexicos President Vicente Fox and his country responsible for failing to secure the Mexican borders. It appears to me that he is doing little or nothing to stop anyone in his country, or anyone entering his country, from freely crossing Mexicos border into the United States.
Because of this, it seems to me that the United States should make Mexico fiscally responsible for the increased expense of securing our southern border and compensation to the victims of crimes committed by persons who came illegally into the United States through their open borders.
To accomplish this, I feel the United States government should seize Mexicos assets located in the United States and use the money to pay for having to increase OUR border security, compensate the victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens who came in through (or from) Mexico, and to reimburse our jails for housing them!
What do you think about this idea?

Typical. First you huff and puff, then you get silly. What you are is a Bush sycophant.
It's a blessing to live in America. Every illegal alien knows this. We are cheapening American citizenship when we allow illegal aliens to jam across our border. Everything from Michael Chertoff is lie. They are still releasing Central Americans into the general population with a bullshit promise for them to appear in court. There aren't enough beds/prison cells to accommodate these invaders until we can ship them back home
BUILD A FENCE. EVERYTHING ELSE IS COMMENTARY
AAhhhhh .,.. shuddup already
Gee, pointing out the reality that an immigration reform bill has to go through the Senate, makes me "silly" and a "Bush sycophant".
Whew you all get mad when reality is presented to you.
Maybe your hero, tancredo, should "shuddup" and work with allies in the Senate rather than grandstand.
If GW says "no amnesty" then what is the country to do about the millions and millions of illegal immigrants already here? Is he going to deport them? I don't think so! I never could understand why GW doesn't take this problem at all seriously until I read the following article this morning. THIS IS A MUST READ:
http://www.howestreet.com/articles/index.php?article_id=1987
Yesterday I heard Sean Hannity say on his radio program that he wanted to hear something from GW in his address to the nation about illegal immigration, and what did we get from GW?
This is not GW bashing as the Democrats aren't serious about this problem either. The old saying - if it's gonna be then it's up to me applies here. Inundate your politicians with phone calls and letters and continue to tell them how you feel about illegal immigration.
Bush is the first President since who knows when to at least address the issue. Yet, the porous borders and crappy enforcement over the last 100 years is laid at his feet. His strategy is 3 pronged, and only the third prong - guest workers- is debatable. If he can get the other two nailed down - stop the flow and quicken deportation - he will be rightly hailed as the only president to make a difference on this issue. He's going to follow thru, and congress better work with him to get it done.
I don't give a crap about the guest worker program one way or the other, as long as the other two items are implemented.
