Hi all,
Good comments and was fun to follow along while watching on TV. Good speach by our pres.
Hellary should learn that eyebrow trick...would go perfect with her "and you know what I'm talkin' about"
Hillary realized at that moment they were just snookered.
The Justice Alito was sweet, endearing. He looked so shy and pleased and awed. He is a good, good man.
Right, Howlin' Howie. Ben Nelson was the only dem who stood and applauded when Pres. Bush called for renewal of the Patriot Act - the other dimmies just sat there.
I had heard that the dems were complaining that he was too much of a nice guy........
sheesh, the man is dirt.
I agree. It was a dream come true today for Sam Alito......Praise God, Bush gave us the genuine article.
At least I'll bet W knows how to pronounce it...
I loved that, too. "Awe" entry in the dictionary.
Wow.....that's good for a CNN poll!
McCain: "Excellent speech.... I give it an A"
The speech had a flow about it that simply soared to the heights of eloquence and floated seamlessly from topic to topic.
FOX panel on mute. They don't deserve attention.
More from NR...
A LITTLE MORE THAN A NICE JOB [Mark Steyn]
This was a very cunning speech in the way it managed to sound lofty and noble while reminding you that the other guys are defeatistic legalistic naysayers. But I liked the implied go-ahead-punk-make-my-day segment on the wiretaps. Democrats are missing the meta-narrative and making the most basic mistake of all: never confirm your caricature - in this case that you can't trust 'em on national security.

THAT SIDE OF THE AISLE [Mark R. Levin]
Perhaps the Democrats' reaction to aspects of the president's speech was even more important than the speech itself. They remained seated and barely applauded at odd times, including when the president spoke about national security issues. And Hillary Clinton's giddy reaction to the president's statement that his Social Security reform efforts had been stopped looked very weird. It was the first time I've seen her laugh in months.

Might be from when he went to Mongolia a few months ago.
I do agree that sometimes the CNN panels are better than the Fox ones. Haven't listened to the MSNBC ones.
On the other hand, FR is better than all of them!
LOL....that's even better.....I kinda hated doing that to the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man....
Over on MSNBC, Matthews asked Howard Dean about the NSA stuff and the claim that if we'd done what Bush is doing now we might have caught two of the hijackers.
And you know what Howard Dean said? He said, "That's not true, because we weren't listening at all."
Was he serious -- could he NOT know about Able Danger and the NSA intercepts?
Or was he just lying?
